James heard Rebecca returning to the main room and looked up to see her. She looked… Why did he think she looked attractive? Beautiful? He didn't know the word to put with the thought and instead gave her a slight nod, "Are you ready to go?"
She nodded with a small smile leading him out of the house
James followed after a soft smile tugging at his face.
Once they were out she closed the door behind them and turned to face James " ready?"
"Ready," James replied with a nod.
She smiled and started walking in the direction of the diner
James followed after her a little wary of going into town.
" it'll be alright James not alot of people will be there" she said
"How do you know that?" James asked her softly.
" because I used to go there" she said with a smile
"Oh, of course," James nodded. He would have to be careful either way.
She smiled softly crossing her arms
James felt a smile force it's way onto his face as he smiled back at her.
She looked down at her feet as she walked
James looked around the city since it had been a long time since he had stepped foot in one.
" hopefully no one thinks your my boyfriend and you abuse me" she said referring to the bruises on her face from her brother
"I would hope not," James replied calmly, "I have no plans to act like it either way."
She smiled softly and nodded slowly looking the other direction
James continued walking with Rebecca assuming she knew the way.
She kept walking making it to a small diner with a blue door and gree shutters
James looked around the little diner and found it pleasant.
" this is where my dad and I used to get dinner" she said
"Oh, so you have good memories at ths place?" James asked her.
James smiled back, "I'm glad."
