"Oh then what are you?" James asked feeling that feeling start to rise again.

" well like I've said I've been coming here forever and he's always worked here and over that time a developed a little crush on hin" she said

“I see,” James nodded as that feeling grew more intense. What was it? Jealousy? That would explain some things.

" but that can't happen anymore " she sighed closing her eyes

James felt odd the flash of, what pride, that stung his chest. Despite that he kept his voice even, "No, no it can't."

She closed her eyes with a sigh putting her head in the palm of her hands

James tilted his head slightly looking at Becca, "Are you okay?"

"I got turned into a vampire and I have no family "

"And?" James knew those were bad things, but she surely could have gotten over it by now.

" i have no one james at least as a human i wasn't alone " she said

"And you aren't alone now," James told her.

"You don't actually wanna be around me " she told him

" because you just want to marry me for power " she said
