"Young man, you can find your room upstairs," Moraphe told Vien, gesturing in the direction of the stairway. "And I think you should stay here for now, young lady." He tried to sound reassuring, for their sake.
"Young man, you can find your room upstairs," Moraphe told Vien, gesturing in the direction of the stairway. "And I think you should stay here for now, young lady." He tried to sound reassuring, for their sake.
She sighed. "Are-Are you to do anything to me?" she asked hesitantly.
Vien glared at him before looking over at the other kid. Something about him just seemed really wrong. Why was he personally showing all the girls around? He decided he didn't care at the moment, simply walking off up the stairs without a word
"Ah, I'm sorry, what do you mean by that?" he asked, stepping aside to let Vien through.
How could he not get what she meant? Vivian shut her vulnerability up once more, becoming tight again. "If you even try to do anything, I'll suffocate you. And don't even think about putting me inside one of your little …cells. I know you're up to something, mister."
"What?" he said with a laugh. "I'm not going to imprison you here, and I'm certainly not going to – do anything to you!" He spread his arms wide. "No, young lady; I am your teacher. And it will bring me great joy to see you all learn how to use your abilities to better the world."
Vien rolled his eyes as he overheard the strange man down the stairs. He had always had unnaturally good hearing, so he could unfortunately listen to the man go on and on about how they were supposed to change the world. He scoffed to himself as he walked to one of the empty rooms at the very end of the hall next to one of the emergency exits
A pale face peaked out from a room he passed, soulful brown eyes staring at him.
Vien glared at the person staring at him, saying nothing as he pulled the door to his room open and shutting it loudly behind him. He was usually a very polite person, but his suspicions were causing his anxiety to skyrocket. He glared at the room around him, making a face of disgust. "Pompous bastards," he muttered. It was far too comfortable-looking to be safe, and he knew that for a fact. He walked over to the far corner of the room, taking his duffel bag off and putting it beneath his head as he laid down. He refused to even use the bed for fear he might accidentally lull himself into a false sense of security
"Now, what would you like to do?" Moraphe asked Vivian.
She scowled at the man, before looking to the remaining kids. Finally, she gave in to her fate, and whatever else may come in the future.
"F-fine." she sighed wearily. "Where is my c-cell?"
"Oh dear –" he mumbled, rubbing his forehead. "Well, I don't have any cells, but I do have a nice room all set up for you. Do you need directions?" He grinned.
"Fine." she willed herself not to laugh at his comment. Vivian wouldn't let him worm his way into her heart, just like-
No. Don't think about that.
"Just go up those stairs, and you'll be in a long hallway. Your room is six doors down. Go ahead and get settled."
(Oof, I still need to make my character xD sorry that I was gone for so long.)
(You're fine :D Welcome back!)
Vivian nodded, heading up the stairs and eyeing the other rooms. Were those the others rooms? If not, what were they for? One man didn't need that much room for himself…
"What's your name?" a quiet voice asked her.
(Um, hey, Can anyone catch me up on this? I joined but wasn't on today…)
(MEEEEEEX, Start on page six)
Vivian whirled round, then calmed herself down when she saw a small, pale, very un-threatening-looking girl standing there. She mentally chided herself for being caught off guard so easily, and gave a small smile.
"I-What?" she looked around, but she couldn't see anyone. Was she so tired she started hearing things?
"…Call me V." she wouldn't give them her full name, though she still answered, as she was intrigued.
"Elspeth, come back…" another voice said chidingly.
(Uh, what? Vivian is my character… Yours is Elspeth.)
