Darcy attempted to fling her soap covered spatula at Maria, only to realise that the suds had fallen off while she walked around with Elide. Someone was probably going to slip on those.. Oh well!
Holding the wet sponge, she ran back around towards Maria. She stopped, dramaticly clutched her chest and yelled, "Don't make me do this!"
(Yaknow I could make Jay fall on them :D bc innocent bystander who gets sucked up into their nonsense)
((xD yaaaaaas you should do that))
(Cool cool, it is a way to bring myself back in anyways lol)
Jay got up and started walking towards the others to try and negotiate with them, but ended up slipping on the floor and banging his head against the wall. He hissed with pain, rubbing his head. This is utter madness! I can't think in all this ridiculous chaos!
Seeing Jay fall, Astrid gasped and ran over to him. "Oh my God are you okay!? I'm sorry!" She apoligized by instinct.
(Jay: Can someone tell me wtf is even happening here?)
"Yeah… yeah… fine. What the devil are you guys even doing with sponges and quesadillas? They don't seem to correlate at all…" He pulled himself to his feet, seeing stars and feeling a tad lightheaded but not expressing either much.
(Fun fact: Jay never curses (or at least tries very hard not to) because his parents cursed at him often and he doesn't want to be anything remotely like them)
((Oooh, that's a really cool character trait^^))
"Oh, well, Maria stole Darcy and Elide's quesadillas, so I'm helping them get revenge. Are you sure you're okay?" She rubbed her arm.
(Thanks :D. I would assume with that he would probs be uncomfortable with others cursing around him as well. But since he's incredibly awkward, he would never tell them)
Jay nodded, trying to ignore the throbbing in his head. You're fine, you've experienced much worse. Like that time with the bottle… "Er, c-can't you just… make more? Instead of fighting? Violence… it… i-it rarely solves anything."
"Oh, uh, yeah. We were just messing around. I know at least I wasn't going to hurt anybody." She tried to respond in the best way she could. She put her arms behind her back, then slightly smiled at Jay, trying to prove that she really wouldn't hurt anybody.
Jay nodded again absently, now lost in thought. He was remembered the aforementioned incident. They were mad at me… very mad. But I hadn't done anything! I think they were just very drunk, as usual… they threw the empty bottle at my head and it shattered… I had to spend the evening picking glass shards out of my scalp, since they refused to bring me to the hospital… Little did he know, he was actually whispering snippets of his thoughts. Particularly 'Drunk', 'Empty bottle', and 'I had to spend the evening picking glass shards out of my scalp'.
“Sorry Jay,” Elide apologised, “Darcy, let’s go make some more… you win this time Maria.”
Hearing what Jay was saying, Astrid queitly asked, "Jay, are you alright. Like, I know you said you were, but are you sure?" She gently placed her hand on his shoulder, trying to get him out of his flashback.
Jay flinched as he was touched, his arm raising as a reflex. He tensed the muscles as hard as he could, trying his best to avoid hitting Astrid. He managed not to, lowering his hand to his side again. He seemed very tense and distracted, not responding to Astrid's question.
Elide walked over to Jay, kneeling down beside him, “Jay, it’s okay… you’re alright.” She said quietly, trying to distract him from Astrid’s question.
No, no, no, no… why is she touching me? Jay held his breath, wanting to shrug her hand off but not wanting to offend her. "…W-What?" He turned his gaze to Elide, trying to distract himself.
“She’s not gonna hurt you, alright?” She held out a hand to help him up but didn’t touch him, he needed to accept her help but she couldn’t force it on him.
He hesitated for a few seconds before accepting her hand. He slapped himself as he had earlier with his free hand, trying to snap out of the flashback. It seemed that sort of pain was the only way to get out of his mind.
“Hey, you have to stop that, okay?” She said as she helped jay up to his feet.
"I-It's the only thing that works…" Please get your hand off my shoulder… He still seemed very tense, but his eyes were more focused.
Elide looked at Astrid and removed her hand, “You need to find something else that works?”
"Like… l-like what?" Jay rubbed his bruising cheek.
