Astrid ran up the stairs, until she reached her room. She slammed the door closed behind her, angry at how useless and uncared about she was. She fell back onto her bed, grabbing her headphones. If the world didn't care about her, then why care about them.

As Darcy scraped the last of the yogurt from the tub, she heard a door slam. She looked up worriedly. She made her way up the stairs only to be met by a row of closed doors. "Crud." She knocked quietly on each door, before opening it up to see if anyone was inside. Finally, she reached the last door. She knocked and opened the door, she looked inside to see Astrid angrily listening to some music. "Uh, hey. Astrid, are you okay?"

(not exactly sure how one listens to music angrily but i'll just go with it)

@Fraust

Jay sat on his stool in silence, sighing. He couldn't help but feel that all these problems were his fault. Just because he was scared of everything. And now the others were comforting each other and the one at fault was doing nothing. He lay his head on the counter hopelessly, hating himself.

Astrid glared over to the door where Darcy was standing and yelled, "Yup. Super." She wasn't yelling to be rude, she just couldn't hear herself over the music pounding through her headphones. She rubbed her bare arms before turning to face the wall, willing herself not to cry now, not to look like a baby in front of her.

"You don't look 'super'…" Darcy said blatantly. Then, her voice softened, "Look, I know that we don't know each other that well but I want you to know that you can talk to me. Okay?" Darcy hesitated before continuing, "And- it's okay to cry."

She looked over at Darcy, then pulled her heaphones down around her neck. "Okay," she quietly replied. "I just, I ruined everything already. I thought maybe I'd find some people who cared, who I could actually be friends with, and I already screwed it all up…" She looked down. She had never admitted that much to anyone.

@rot-baby-rot!

Elide was about to harm herself when she heard Hayes at the door, “I’m fine…” She tried to keep her voice steady.

"You sure? Do you want me to come in?" Hayes asked, gently resting his hand on the door. "You looked pretty upset out there, I know when someone's faking a smile. It's okay, alright? You weren't forcing anyone to do anything and no one felt pressured to do anything. Even if they did, Jay knew that you didn't mean it, okay? It's okay."

"It'll blow over… These things usually do." Darcy said softly. She leaned against Astrid's door frame, "Can I get you anything - tea, coffee?" Darcy loved coffee, probably slightly too much… but it usually made her feel better.

"Uh, sure, I'll have a coffee, if it's not too much trouble." Honestly, she didn't feel like eating or drinking anything, but she didn't want to be rude by saying no. She started to get a headache from the thoughts of her past and how she already screwed up with her roommates constantly screaming in her mind. She pressed her hand to her head, trying to take away some of the pain.

"Sure, I'll go make it now," Darcy replied with a grin. She wasn't exactly the best at comforting people and was quite gullible, often leading her to believe things were okay when they truly weren't. While the water in the coffee machine boiled, Darcy doodled on a scrap piece of paper. She hummed contently as her pen danced around the page, waiting for the familiar aroma to appear.
