Damian looked back, "That's the pack" he said with a wry grin, "Dad? Eclipse?" he padded down into the chamber, finding no one. Suddenly he heard a low howl, and a second more dangerous one joining it.

Crap crap crap is what she thought.

Damian looked back to see her nervous. Shifting he out a gentle hand on her shoulder, "Hey it's ok. Those howls were my Dad and uncle, calling the pack to attention to give an announcement." he said gently, "You can't show fear around these wolves, they'll just attack it. They'll respect you if you stay strong, do that and you'll have nothing to fear."

"Yay" she said sarcstically.

Damian grinned, "That's the spirit!" he said, his grin faded when he heard angry shouts and growls. Shifting he dashed outside, seeing his father, and a black and silver furred wolf being bombarded by shadow magic. growling he summoned his powers, "Shados!" he shouted, the command sending a wave of energy that stunned everyone. Sirus, Damian's father gave him an approving nod before glaring at the pack.

Briar just stood there quietly.

Soon the presentation was over and Sirus led the way back into the den, pausing only once to look curiously at Briar. Damian nudged her inside before shifting, the other two had done the same.

Briar followed quietly after Damian.

Once inside they came face to face with a pair of older men, one with hair like Damian's and the other with silver streaks. "Who's your friend kiddo?" asked the silver and black haired one,
"Her name is Briar… She's my girlfriend." said Damian, pulling her close. "Briar this is my dad and uncle," he said, marking the silver and black haired on as his uncle.

Briar nodded with a small smile.

The second one watched her closely, "I have to say I wasn't expecting that from you Damian, You were always too quiet."
"Dad….." Damian groaned, knowing his dad was the king of teasing.
"Well for starters I'm Sirus" he said holding out a hand to Briar, his face calm and gentle, "Despite what the rest of the pack may be like the three of us are the opposite of the rumors."

Briar shooke his hand gently before sticking her hands in her pockets.

"And that's my older brother Eclipse" he gestured to the man with Silver streaks in his hair. Eclipse nodded in acknowledgement, "Damian I wouldn't suggest sticking around for long, the Freo brothers have been planning…" he said wryly.
Damian sighed, "I was planning on heading over to Silver Valley anyway," he said, heading for the back exit.

Briar follwed behimd Damian silently.

Damian turned to her once they were outside of the cavern, "You ok?" he asked gently, having noticed how nervous she was.

she nodded "I'm fine".

Damian watched her for a moment, sighing, "How about we get out of here and head for Silver Valley huh?" he asked, "It's a lot less unnerving…"

she sighed. "sure",

"Unless there was somewhere you wanted to go?" he left it hanging.

Briar's hands began to shake uncontrollably and she stuck them in her jacket pocket.

"Briar?" Damian put a hand on her shoulder, leading her just into the trees, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine" she lied.

"You don't look fine what's wrong?" said Damian, starting to get worried.

"Do you lnow who king benjamin is" Briar asked King benjamin the riler of this land.

"King Benjamin??" he asked, "He doesn't rule this particular stretch of territory but I've had to deal with his men on bounty hunting trips…" he mused, "Why?"
