"When?" asked Damian, slightly concerned.

Damian's face fell, "Tree get you?" he asked sheepishly.

she nodded.

Damian hugged her, "Sorry…" he said, leaning over to kiss her forehead.

she smiled softly "it's not your fault".

Damian nodded, "Still," he said, Sighing, "Want to ride again? Or shall we walk til we escape these trees.

she ran a hand down his cheek "your tired".

"Nah!" said Damian with a slight grin, "I could run all day!"

she playfully rolled her eyes "you can run im walking".

Damian rolled his eyes, "I'm not running without you" he said.

"then were walking love" she said.

"Fine by me sweetheart" replied Damian, pulling her close to his side.

Briar giggled a bit at the nickname.

Damian led her through the woods for a long time, eventually out of the skeletal trees and into a misty Pine forest.

Brair sighed her feet now killing her.

Damian suddenly paused, "I'll need to go Wolf from here," he said pulling a silver headband from his bag and slipping it on pulling his hair out from underneath.

"okay" she said with a nod.

Shifting the circlet showed between his eyes, "I hate this thing" he said grumpily before padding off, "Stay close alright?"

she nodded following close behind him,

Damian led her through the woods, his stance having changed from cool and relaxed, to wary and superior. It was about an hour later when they began to hear chatter, low tones and whispers, and higher pitched laughter.

briar's feet really were killing her now but she fought the pain and kept walking.

Damian sighed, "I'm warning you now, I ave no idea what the pack will do when they see you." he said, I don't wanna know what'll happen when they see me… He took a deep breath and started forward again, slipping into a small cavern on a ledge that overlooked the main denning area, which held hundreds of black furred wolves.
