"Mm… I've discovered that new people here are quite rare, actually." Lucas looked around the campus a bit more, glad for a distraction from memories of his family for the timebeing.

Zachary nodded. "You and your family are the first new people here in about……five to seven years." he replied.

And there it is again. 'Family'. Lucas hesitated before nodding. "Yeah… my family. Um… what are the best things to do here?" Not much of a family, is it? Half of it's dead and the other forgets I'm here.

Zachary thought for a moment. "A lot. I trust that Jaidyn has shown you some?"

"Yeah, the library and animal shelter. They're wonderful."

Zachary nodded. He looked over at Jaidyn, and the two seemed to have a telepathic conversation before he turned back to Lucas. "She should take you to The Cups, that cafe has the best of everything. Well, food and coffee related, at least."

The Cups? "Huh… I'll have to check it out. I've never been big on coffee, but I'm sure I'll need to acquire the taste to survive college." Lucas laughed.

Zachary and Jaidyn laughed with Lucas. Jaidyn suddenly raised her eyebrow. "Hey Zach, were's your girlfriend?"
Zachary chuckled. "Vivian's talking to Professor Wise."
"Makes sense. I'm guessing the crown that has gathered is watching the two debate and play chess?" Jaidyn asked.
Zachary nodded. "As always. Their debates are comical, you should see for yourself." Zachary told Lucas.

"I'll have to check it out sometime. Well, it was nice meeting you, Zachary. I hope to see you around." Lucas smiled softly, nodding before walking on.

Zach nodded. "Anytime man. See you later Jay!" Her said to Jaidyn before running off again. Jaidyn ran to catch up to Lucas.

"Was that rude? I feel like it might've been rude of me to just walk off…" Lucas pet Sophie as they walked.

Jaidyn shook her head. "Don't worry about it Lucas. Zach does it too." She said with a slight giggle.

"Alright, if you say so…" Lucas rolled his shoulders, exhaling through his teeth in an attempt to release some nerves.

Jaidyn sighed. "Its getting late….I should probably be heading home or my mom will get worried." She stated, not saying why her mom would be worried.

Lucas nodded. "Alright. I suppose I should figure out where I'm staying. It was nice meeting you." He smiled before walking off to find his father and Kiara.

Jaidyn waved goodbye to him and took off running down the street to her house.
