Skye watched where her gaze wandered, nodding approvingly. Thank you he told her, focusing on making sure his act was flawless.
"You seemed a bit nervous" said Silver playfully.

(Hey, sorry I've been gone. I've had a ton of work to do this weekend, plus I got sick again, so that's been fun)
Septima felt a lot more scared than she thought she would. She was lucky to have Skye with her, but never in her life had she felt more out of place as someone with magic. She only hoped she wasn't showing how she felt.
Aurelius shrugged. "I mean, yeah… I am a little, but what else is new?"
"You're cute when you're nervous." said Silver with a smirk,
Skye watched her carefully, but didn't say anything as they reached the throne room.
(No worries!)
“You look like you’re up to no good when you smirk like that,” Aurelius commented, “I think that’s pretty cute in its own right.”
Septima realized as they drew into the throne room, their windows for escape became fewer. She carefully watched Skye for any indications of what to do, and everyone else for any signs of hostility.
"Where would you like to go?" asked Silver, smiling at being called cute.
Skye gave her no reaction of fear or nervousness. Remember from here on out I'm supposed to be of a higher status then you, not to be rude but we have to pull this off from the get-go.
"Hm… I just wanted to take a walk, you know? Maybe stay close to the edge of the forest this time, though?" Aurelius suggested.
Septima gave a knowing nod. Yes, you can do most of the talking. I'll keep an eye out for anything that might help. She hoped he understood what she had in mind.
Skye gave her a near imperceptable nod as they entered to throne room.
Silver nodded, pulling away a little, "How about you lead this time?"
Septima tried listening closely to anything Skye said to the people here, so if there was a story, she would be able to go along with it. However, she found her mind wandering.
Aurelius gave a firm nod, and he moved in a slower stride, just on the inside of the treeline.
Silver shifted on impulse, slipping up under Aurelius' hand.
They were led before the throne, on which sat an older man. He wasn't elderly, but he wasn't young either. Skye knelt to one knee, bowing before the king. I don't suppose you know anything of courtly customs? he asked silently of Septima.
Aurelius locked his gaze on Silver. "It's very strange… I don't think I've connected with anyone this quickly in a long time, if ever."
Nope. I'm a country girl. The most royal place I've ever been was the office of our city's head guard.
Septima still made sure to watch body language closely to get what she could out of everything.
But if you're a 'foreign royal' with different customs…
There's a set rule of thumb when dealing with any royals. besides you're supposed to be my adviser. he said, carefully, rising to address the king. He gave the king the same story he gave the guards, asking for shelter until they could get word to their home kingdom.
Well, I didn't know that…
Septima folded her hands closer to her body.
Some kind of adviser I am.
Well I live in both worlds, he told her, never once missing a beat as he conversed with the king. I was raised a street kid, but I found out later that my father was the Alpha of the Nebulae Wolf Pack. being his firstborn more or less makes me a literal prince no matter how you look at it.
Mm… I see. That's pretty cool. I take it you know some of the most important court rules, at least? Anything I need to know right away?
Septima held rigidly still; otherwise, she would have been fidgeting because of how nervous she was here.
Be polite, always be cordial, and never rude to those of higher rank. Don't argue with their decisions. He listed off a few more, If you have a problem with something I do… then tell me telepathically, and If i use the link I've set up between us to call out to you you mus'n't show any reaction.
Sounds pretty similar to how things worked in our little militia. Simple enough.
Septima shifted her attention back away from the conversation.
I'll follow along as well as I can. Don't hesitate to tell me if I'm doing things wrong.
I should be able to flubb it off as Inexperience if it's something minor he said reassuringly, I just hope I don't do something wrong….
Yeah, It'll be fine. I believe in you.
Septima's posture straightened a little.
(Are they using aliases on this mission or their real names?)
(Real names, best to stick with as much truth as they can manage as if it were a real mission..)
Skye bowed once more as they were escorted out of the throne room, and into a beautiful suite.
(True. I'll be back later. I've got class again >.<)
Septima followed Skye's cues carefully, bowing with him and then getting back up and following them into the suite.
(Okey… Good luck!)
Skye sighed once they were in the suite, his act dropping. "Well we've made it in" he said turning to Septima.
“Yeah, we sure have,” Septima replied.
She sighed in relief.
“No one told me this was going to be an acting job.”
"What did you think we'd have to do to infiltrate?" he asked, curiously.
"Well, yeah, I figured. Seems a lot more doable in my opinion," Septima replied, "I'm pretty good at stealth missions and spying."
"That would be why you're not playing the Royal." He said, "It'll be easy for you to eavesdrop, and you won't be suspected of treachery."
