"Don't apologize," he exhaled a little quieter, taking the long handle of the mop to resume his chore in thought-haunted silence. The manner he went along with it was as if he was stuck in some form of sour vigil.

Fae sat down, covering her face with her hands again. What had she done? This was all her fault. “I— I take it back. Come as close as you want.” I’m sorry.
He continued with what he was doing in aloof silence. Though it came off as quite rude and dismissive, he decided it was best— he needed to untangle himself before he could comfort her.
Fae felt as if there was a boa constrictor squeezing her heart to a bloody pulp. I ruined everything. There’s no way he loves me now. I just destroyed the thing in life I enjoyed the most, I hurt Cruz. She began to dust the table, tears flowing freely from her eyes.
Cruz simply remained stoic. His irises were distant, like rings of hot agate submerged in arctic seas. He never emitted more than he wanted to, but now was an exception, and the conflict tore him. But he did not let that show.
Because he was self sufficient, wasn't he?
Fae struggled through waves of desperation and a deep depression. Not another panic attack please no! She sat back down fists clenched, exhaustion taking over. After a few minutes of silence, she had fallen asleep.
He cast a look towards her, sunken down in sleep.
He really did love her..
Fae drifted in and out of sleep, catching brief glimpses of Cruz before falling unconscious again, wanting so hard to have him next to her, to comfort him, to apologize for her stupid mistake.
He hoped she could feel his arms around her in her sleep. He left the mop against the wall, sitting on the floor with her cradled.
(Aww)
Fae’s eyes fluttered open. “Cruz? That you?”, she murmured sleepily, curling up against him.
"Sh." He quietly responded. The silence was too good to break with words.
Fae’s eyes drifted shut again as she lay there, flooded with relief as she listened to the steady beating of his heart. I thought I’d lost you.
He set his chin on the top of her head.
Fae curled up tighter into him, heart swelling as they sat there, enfolded in a blissful bubble, detached from time.
"Cuando me necesitas, yo te escucharé.." he whispered.
(Awwww!)
Fae grasped the meaning of his words and a gentle, impossibly happy smile alighted on her lips. “I— thank you. I reacted badly, I know. I— I’m just so scared.”, she whispered.
"I'm sorry I'm such a stoneface." He humored back.
She smiled slightly wider. “Please forgive me.”
"'Course.." he replied softly, "Cherry.."
“Mmhm?”
"I never thought I was an artist.. but I think I became one when I started seeing poetry in your voice,"
(Gtg soon bike ride )
Awwww)
Fae’s heart melted, Cruz’s words spinning her around in a haze of pure bliss, leaving her completely speechless. A look of elated joy lit up her previously shadowed eyes.
(Those are literally the sweetest words i have ever heard or read)
(Have fun!)
Fae snuggled into him. “You make me feel safer than anyone else in the world.”, she murmured. “You make me so happy..”
(Goodnight 😢)
