Farewell.
(sorry I keep leaving, the internet connection's wonky over here)
Macha let out a little gasp and her heart pounded furiously, pumping adrenaline and love through her veins. "Truth or Dare?", she whispered, the story of Ace's past echoing, mournfully violent, through her head.
(this is going somewhere don't worry, Ace, keep your face close to Macha's!)
(Still waiting for @Lil-Owl… I’ll be patient though.)
HI O one sec guys)
(Sky hasn't really gotten much action in a while :( I miss her)
(great work on the Sketer tho!)
He complied quietly, setting himself down on the bench. He refolded his wings so the huge things weren't squashed between him and the back of the bench. His eyes turned to her face, speaking for his mouth much better than verbal words.
(I apologize for any pain [present or future] Zander may cause to your characters, they are all amazing, but he sometimes has a mind of his own ;))
Zander ate silently pondering what the targets name was. He finished his meal but was unable to come up with anything but the letter 'J' and that he worked well with plants. If he asked Kata she would gloat, so he decided to search for information with the locals. He decided the best way to get any information would be to strike up a conversation with the elderly lady running the restaurant(incidentally getting more ramen out of it). He listened half-heartedly and after a while was about to leave to ask Kata for the name until she mentioned her green-thumbed grandson… called 'Josh'. Snapping to attention, he spoke with a cheerful tune, and in a smile that politicians would kill for, " Is there anyway I can get in touch with him ? I would like to discuss his gardening techniques." After finishing his conversation with her and gaining Josh's phone number, he decided to leave a BIG tip, after all she was a big help.(evil smile)
Ace grinned at Macha, "Why not? Do you want me to go first or you?" their faces were only inches apart.
Sliding over so Peter had room to sit, Sky had to smile. She rest her head on Oeters shoulder and sighed contentedly. Peter was so fun, so calm. Like when Macha was bleeding, he calmly walked away and got the ice. She ran away, scared. Skylar sighed. She would never measure up to him. She didn’t even know why he bothered with her. All she knew was that she had to make every second count. She realized that like with Jean.
Sitting upright, she clutched her mouth, remembering the dream she had when she was in the hospital. Skylar knew that it hadn’t just been a dream. She hadn’t dreamed about Jean for years. Something about the dream was so chilling, so real. “Peter..” she started. “Have you… have you ever had a dream but you feel like it was real? Something in the dream was real, like if somebody said it was real when they were in the dream? I… you know what, never mind. It’s not worth it. She’s been dead for years anyway.” She closed her eyes and leaned back against Peter.
"No, no…" he spoke, "I have had that before." His words became heavy, "When.. my family and I still lived in the Caribbean, I'd fallen in love with this.. wonderful girl. Sunshine, was her nickname, and she called me Papa Moon," Peter's malleable smile quivered, stone-watery eyes glazed with nostalgia. "We were in such love for such a short eternity, I suppose…" his fingers curled tightly around hers, "She died from ovarian cancer that had spread." Peter's voice shrank.
Skylar nodded silently. "I am so sorry." She said after he was finished. " I know what it feels Like. Until now, I have never Had anybody important to me. Somebody that cares for me. Everyone I've ever cared for has ended up dead. That's why I… I guess I'm afraid that something bad will happen to you, too." She said, turning her face to watch his, then looking down at their hands entwined together.
His shaky lips softened, "Even with the risk of danger, Skylar, happiness and.. love, finds its place somehow." He consoled, "Believe me.. credit me with enduring a life of poverty," he kept his eyes locked with hers.
She laughed softly, slowly prying her fingers Out if his grip. With long, slow movements, she softly traced her fingers up his arm and back down to his hand, locking them together once more.
"You remind me a lot of her.. but, different, of course.. a good different, I think," his words stammered slightly.
THE SKETER IS INTENSIFYING
XD peter is my precious bean)
"Oh yeah?" She asked, gazing at him. "Well. Tell me about her. I would love to know more about your past." She said, watching to see if she had crossed a line. "You don't have to if you don't want to, though." She whispered.
"Would it be selfish to ask to talk about something more wholesome than my lackluster past?" Humor flickered across his lightly-arabesque-shade face, flashing his upper row of teeth in warm delight.
" Not at all." She grinned. "So what would you like to talk about?"
"Surprise me," he welcomed, tilting his head..
"Well," she started, "this may be horrible to say, and may change the way you look at me," she continued mockingly. "But my favorite food is stuffed pepper casserole." She laughed. "Do you wanna run away screaming, Never look at me again?" She asked jokingly, her eyes glowing with admiration.
His jaw dropped open in dramatic response, "I can't feel my face, I am in such drastic shock," he pretended to sway with the threat of fainting, stifling laughter.
Sky threw her head back and laughed long and hard. She hadn't laughed like this since God knows when. Sitting here with Peter, she realized that this was her place. She wasn't going back to her family, Peter, Macha, Dani, they were her family now. "So mister tough guy. What's your favorite food?"
"Pineapples!" He exclaimed without hesitation.
