"My brothers and I lived at an orphanage. They still do, right now…The orphanage sucks, funding wise. Two, sometimes one meal a day. I was kicked from the orphanage since i'm seventeen, but I still practically live there since I visit.. so much. But I sleep in trees, usually, at night, where I'm hidden. My brothers are Oliver and Leo, and they're closer than I could ever be with them, but… we still love each other,"
Ace watched Peter and Skylar walk off and sat on the couch. He stared at Macha and sat there for what seemed like hours until the doctor came in.
Hey, would you guys mind if I wrote Dr. Branch? Topaz ain't here so………I dunno, just a thought,
"Wow. My parents died when I was eight, and my Aunt Janice took me in. I lived with her and my cousins for a while, until they got sick of me and kicked me out. I lived on the streets for a while until a nice lady offered me a job. I was ten, by the way. The lady's name was Stephanie, and she had two kids, Jack and Lindsey. Stephanie loved me so much, she let me stay at her house every night including meals and clothes. Lindsey is 15, like me. I didn't want to impose on their family after about a month, so I told them that I was leaving, and Stephanie handed me a stack of papers. They were adoption papers. Everybody knew, and they were going to hold a surprise party the next day, but it wasn't much of a surprise after that, was it?" She laughed, remembering those times. "Anyway, Stephanie is my mom now, sometimes I call her mom, and sometimes I just call her Stephanie. Jack and Lindsey are my siblings, and I don't think I could imagine my life being any more perfect. But then the whole thing with Janice happened, and I pretty much shut myself off from them. I was fourteen when that happened. I would go to the bar when things got extremely tough. My birthdays, which… Holy cow! My birthday is tomorrow!" She said, suddenly remembering that tomorrow was her birthday. "Now I don't even know where my life is going. I just know that I have a bunch of new friends. I don't think I have ever trusted people faster then I trusted you guys."
"Hey, that's good… and, happy early birthday, Skylar," he grinned warmly, "Oh, and, I've got an obsession with history, and I'm… probably too nervously chivalrous for my own good.
"Yeah," Joshua gasped out, "Same." He took a few moments to regain his breath before continuing conversation. "I'm so sorry if I was pulling you along the entire way. I promise I wasn't trying to. I was just…trying…" Josh's head bobbed downward. The lack of sleep was getting to him. It was already well into the early hours of the morning, and he hadn't really had a chance to rest all day. Joshua pulled his feet up onto the couch, resting his head against the seat back. Letting out a yawn that was more of a squeak, he blinked his eyes rapidly in a desperate attempt to keep himself awake. So far…that wasn't happening.
Turning his head over to face Ana, he spoke in a soft, yet tired voice. "Do you wanna go back? Or do you wanna stay here and rest for a bit?"
Skylar laughed. "Thanks." She said.
"What's your favorite animal?" She asked, still curious. She was trying to dig deep within Peter so that she could know him. Skylar was the kind of person that doesn't forget something about a person. If she wanted to know what your favorite color was, months later she would still remember it.
(Also, @Nerd I don't mind it at all if you play Dr. Branch. She is meant to be used by all, so I don't see why you can't! ^-^)
"Um, pangolins." He grinned. "And sea turtles."
Sea
Turtles, Eh? They're pretty cute. So. What do you wanna do? Go
Outside,
Explore inside?"
"Go outside," he answered pretty quickly.
"Ok." She replied. They walked in silence for a Few minutes.
Ana took a while to fully regain her breath. But she noticed that he seemed exhausted. Oh dear… “Hey…you should rest. I don’t mind staying here for a bit longer.” She doubted she could get anymore sleep tonight. Ana fixed the flower crown that had fallen into her eyes. “You should sleep more…” says the person who hardly ever sleeps
Peter's thumb rubbed the back of her hand a bit, to avoid any possible at,osphere of awkwardness.
(Dr. Branch) I walked through the hallways wondering what kind of mess Agent Shield had gotten into this time. A laugh escaped me as I thought about the time she and Joshua had sticky-noted Director Axyl's office, but I quickly stifled it. Being part of the TGR is an enormous opportunity and job, I reminded myself. I was starting to run now, but I still tried to look dignified. The door for Dani's room was intensely complicated, with a fingerprint print scan, eye scan, a lock, a full body scan, a voice recognition system, and a voice activated password. I tried to look as calm as possible when I reached the voice activated password, "Beavers love pineapples when orangutans smell like tree frogs, but only when grandma strokes it." and then I entered the room to find Dani, a boy with bright purple eyes, and a girl lying on the couch with wings and stone skin.
Dani sat on a chair by Macha, refusing to leave her. How did this all go so wrong? Dani thought miserably. Cami I wish you were here. Dani hugged her knees tightly to her chest. She sang softly to Macha as she smoothed the hair off of Macha's face. Flower gleam and glow. Let your power shine. Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine.
(@NERD XD I love the password. It sounds like something Josh and Dani made up as a prank then Dani just decided to keep it.
(lol Natasha. That's from tangled
!!!😂)
(Yup. One of my favorite disney songs of all time.)
"Oh. Y-you sure? Cause…I can probably make it back if you want." Josh perked up, but only slightly. Forcing his tired eyes to look somewhat awake. "And, yeah..I would've gone to bed," he checked his non-existent watch, "several hours ago, but I've had a…full…day." He stretched, scrunching up his hands into fists…Around her hand. Blushing profusely, Joshua let go of Ana's hand. "I am SO sorry, Ana. I–Uh…" He turned his face away from her, obviously embarrassed.
My favorite disney song is "How far I'll go" by Moana. You know it's great because it was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda!
(I like that song too. My sisters listen to it like 24/7 though, so it's a little annoying now.)
@TopazWyrmlet~ Hello, you're gone. I know this, but hi anyway.
