(That's fine with me!)
(That's fine with me!)
Ace laughed and patted Blake's wings, "Yeah, right. You're, what? 18?"
"I'm seventeen." Blake corrected proudly, although he was unfamiliar with the feeling of having his wings pet, he decided he sort of liked it. Blake puffed his wings a bit on purpose this time.
"Thank you for telling me this valuable information, now I know that you're two years younger than me." Ace flashed a grin at Blake.
"You're nineteen and you've never had a drink before?" Blake scoffed, mock horror on his face.
"I had beer once," Ace held up one finger, "and I was 14, I think? Quinlan gave me a five hour lecture on the dangers of alcohol and then proceeded to give me a tattoo that wouldn't let me drink until I was 18." he pushed up his arm and pointed to a tattoo of a stalk of barley.
"Seriously? I had my first drink when I was ten and it was encouraged. It was one of Commander Ryker's friends, if I remember correctly. I accidentally interrupted a meeting between the two of them looking for a bedtime story." Blake shook his head and chuckled slightly, lost in the memory. "He gave me a small shot of vodka and told me to drink it fast so the beating I got later wouldn't hurt as bad. That stuff burns like fire too." Blake shuddered a bit, before turning to Ace, the humor returning in his eyes. "We'll have to get you a real drink sometime." He smirked, giving Ace a friendly slap on the shoulder.
Ace shrugged, "I think that Dani would kill me."
"All the fun to being drunk is pretending you're not in front of authority! It adds a thrill to it! Also karaoke, but that's probably not something we should look into for your second time drinking."
(BTW if you're wondering, why 18? It's because, Ace was in Britain, and the legal age of drinking there is 18, but Ace doesn't know it was Britain, so he was pretty confused when he came to America…
(I love how well thought out all of Ace's responses are! You're such a good writer @Nerd!)
(flips hair, but hair ends up on face, so I have to blow hair out of my mouth, "Thank you.")
(Lol amazing)
What's karoake? Ace decided not to ask, so he wouldn't seem stupid. "So, you're saying Dani is authority? Does this mean you're going to woo her?" he grinned and nudged Blake in the arm.
"I don't even know her! I woke up in my cell and she was there with Macha! That's the only connection I have to her!" Blake protested, quickly becoming flustered and defensive.
"Oh, so now you have a connection with her." Ace's face hurt from all the smiling he was doing, so he settled for mussing Blake's hair, careful not to touch the braids.
"N-No! That's not what I meant! I hardly know her, Ace! A-And I don't consider her authority." Blake stuttered a bit, his racing heart starting to get the better of him. He focused on fixing his hair, giving Ace a dirty look.
Ace winked at Blake and mussed his hair a bit more, "Then why are you stuttering?"
My compuder is dying, so BRB.
"Cause you're making me nervous!" Blake huffed, his face burning bright red. He sent a panicked look at the door to Dani's room. Please don't hear this. Please don't hear this. He silently begged. "I can't date anyways, remember? Soldier's code." Blake grumbled. It was hard to act like a soldier around Ace. Not just Ace actually… Pretty much any of them. Stupid drugged food. Blake thought mutinously, even though he was pretty sure everything he'd eaten had been fine.
"You can't date anyways……You want to date Dani? Wow, taking big steps in your relationship already, aren't you?" Ace patted Blake's wings reassuringly, "Don't worry, I'll be your wingman."
(Be back tomorrow!)
"I don't like her like that! And I'd rather have anyone else as a wingman. I'd probably pick Josh." Blake stuck his tongue out at Ace.
(Bye!)
"Yess, I feel better now," Zander replied. unlatching himself from Iseul, " My head doeshn't hurt as much." Zander put his hand to his head."Yup, my head feels better now, but it feels kind of furry."
