(because you're an author. * cries while laughing maniacally* )
(poor Callie):
(there there)
( @TopazWyrmlet~ I mean River’s entire family died. And she’s even younger!)
(Just kinda waiting for someone to continue…)
(Hello peeps I'm back)
Kirsten was left behind with Matthew. She sighed and looked around. "I have a feeling we're supposed to be doing something productive," she told him.
(Welcome back!)
(thank youuu)
(How was your week?)
(it was amazing, it was an exchange with Valencia. They're coming in June)
"Yeah, probably." Matthew sighed and brought himself shakily to his feet. "Build a shelter?"
Kirsten nodded, thought about it. "We'll need some flexible branches, solid ones and probably leaves. Oh, and the sheet metal will definitely come in useful." She jumped to her feet and dragged a few sheets of iron closer to camp.
Matthew nodded silently and got to work, dragging a pine bough out of a bush.
(What should I do? @Natasha's kinda just left, and River's a bit dependent on her for the scene :P)
(idk what to do either :P both my characters are alone gathering wood)
(im here)
"Just try and make a pyramid type shake with the longest sticks and tie them up at the top." Kirsten suggested.
Matthew nodded, still not fully comprehending, and began making a pile of supplies. "What are we gonna tie it together with?"
Kirsten scanned the dirt. "If we don't have any string, then try getting some young, bendy branches around. That'll work."
"Would this… vine thingy work?" he replied, holding up a small length of Kudzu.
She squinted at it. "Yeah. That'll do for now." She arranged a set of branches and made a quick knot. She dragged a piece of metal onto the 'pyramid'. It held. "Alright, alright. That's what I'm talking about."
Matthew stood back and admired the structure before him. "Looks great! Very… Pyramid-ish."
Kirsten laughed and bumped her shoulder against his. "First tangible act of team-work." she smiled.
"Tangible? Looks more… crooked." Matthew loved Kirsten's reaction when he bugged her OCD. She looked cute.
Kirsten looked over at Matthew, still smiling. He was staring at the shelter dubiously, also amused. "Not easy to get anything vertical when you can't measure with anything. So, considering, I think we did a good job," she defended.
