Callie lay on the ground silently. Should I get up? It’s really early. She felt the rays of sun on her face. Maybe it’s early enough to watch the sun rise. She sat up and noticed footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw most people asleep except Pine.
“Goodness, you must be tired,” she whispered while getting up. “You’re up so early!”
"I'm used to it," Pine whispered in reply, greeting his friend warmly. "I live an hour out of the city, remember?"
“True, but you slept so late. It’s concerning. My brother hardly gets any sleep and he gets sick so easily. I’d hate for any of us to get sick,” Callie stated worriedly.
Cassie groaned. She sat up, taking in her surroundings. Oh She remembered. We're stuck in a forest in Canada with no plan to get back home. …………………Great. She stood up. "Good morning you two."
"I won't get sick." Pine promised, turning. "Morning, Cassie."
“Good morning, Cassie!” Callie whispered, turning around to greet her.
Cassie tested her leg. She could barely even feel the pain. Good. She opened her backpack and took out a pocket knife. She then proceeded to grab some sticks and rocks, then sat down and began carving the sticks' ends into sharp and pointed edges.
“What are you doing?” Callie asked curiously.
Pine watched her in awe. Wow. Great idea. I wish I'd thought of that…
If only he had the courage to tell her so.
He turned back to the luggage and spotted his bag, pulling out his toothbrush and a tube of paste. "Hey, we've got this…"
"Something that my dad taught me, about, umm……seven years ago, I think it was. Do you thin you could find some feathers?" Cassie said.
“Okay. I’ll be over there. Hope you two aren’t too lonely without me!” Callie left and winked at Cassie.
Pine blushed and turned back to face Cassie. "Umm… Gr-great idea."
Callie reached the forest area, away from everything. She found multiple feathers alongside the way. They were in all different sizes and colors. She picked them up and hoped they were enough. She also hoped she could keep one, as she often collected various feathers. She began to walk back quickly, but remembered “Pinesie”. She decided to slow down and wondered what they could possibly be talking about.
(-_- I'm watching you @Turzelle lol)
(What? That’s how my character acts! TBH, I’d do that IRL too XD)
(lol this is hilarious to me idk why)
Kirsten woke up, blinking groggily in the early sunlight. Callie was walking away, Cassie was sculpting something with a stick and Pine was rummaging through supplies.
"'Morning," she grumbled.
"morning, Kirsten…" Pine mumbled tiredly. How'd you- Wait- Guys." He whispered suddenly, face lighting up. "Come here. Look."
Kirsten stood slowly and stumbled over to where Pine was standing. She followed his gaze and gasped. A grin split her face.
(i almost brought the Twix debate here :P)
"I completely forgot I had these!!" Pine exclaimed quietly. The middle pouch of his Nike bag was stuffed to the brim with all sorts of snacks- Pistachios, Snickers, Green Tea, Smartfood Popcorn… "This is enough for everyone!!"
(Not the Twix debate. Anything but that!)
Callie decided she’s waiting long enough and walked back. She wasn’t really that far. She approached the group and noticed that Kirsten was awake too.
“Hey guys! G’Morning, Kirsten! I got the fe— What are you looking at?”
"Chocolate!" Kirsten exclaimed, staring down at the loot. She limply waved Callie over.
(you put the idea in my head
i can't)
"Quick!" Pine exclaimed, digging into the bag. "Left Twix or Right Twix?"
"Right Twix is the right way to go!" Kirsten shot back.
"Left twix!" Pine replied.
"Hey, what are y'all arguing about? Left Twix always wins." Matthew propped himself up onto his elbow. "What's the point of talking about that if we don't have any- Wait. You arseholes have Twix, don't you?"
