Kasey gave her a gentle smile. "If you would stand, I can try."

Kitty stood up slowly. Her legs felt heavy. She wasn't sure if it was just from the muscles being so tight or her "powers" kicking in. "G-Go for it," she stammered nervously.

Kasey's smile turned reassuring as she looked at Kitty. Once again, she got a look on her face like she was concentrating hard. This time, though, nothing happened.

"Hm."

Kitty blinked and looked at the ground. She hadn't budged. "Um… so, theory confirmed?" she asked jokingly.

"It would seem so," Kasey laughed. "Welcome to the club."

Kitty smiled a bit. "How many members?"

"So far, there are eight of us, plus you," Kasey said. "There are a few others who don't have powers, but we let them come by anyway. Mostly because one of those people is the vigilante boyfriend of one of our girls."

Kitty thought of Bryson. "Oh, okay." Her phone lit up with a text.

She grinned and shook her head.

She looked at Kasey. "Sorry."

Kasey smiled. "It's no problem. You've got a life outside of this new development. You can leave any time you want. I won't keep you here any longer than I need to."

"I want to test my powers more," Kitty said, suddenly excited.

"Doesn't your boyfriend want to see you?" Courtney asked, raising her eyebrow.

(Okay, that' fine.)

"Yes, but-" She checked the time. "In an hour and a half."

(Idkkkk)

(You don't know what?)

"Ohhh, okay. Well, I'm sure Kasey has more ways to tear your power," Courtney said.

(The time. And did you mean 'test'? Lol)

Kitty looked eagerly at Kasey. "If it's alright…"

(Ugh. Autocorrect. I hate it.)

Kasey nodded, grinning. "I'll call the girls, and we'll meet in the training room."

(Lol, nice. XD)

Kitty nodded. (Timeskip to training room?)

Kitty nervously waited for the girls to come in. She was waiting right where Kasey and Courtney had told her to stay before they went to get the other girls. She tapped her foot on the floor absentmindedly.

Courtney led six girls in behind her and Kasey. Both of the supers who knew Kitty were smiling, while the others just looked confused. They had no idea what was going on.

Kitty scanned the girl's faces, taking in their mix of features and trying to guess what powers they had. Stay calm. Stay calm, she told herself.

Each girl came up to Kitty and introduced herself, starting with a tall light-blonde with bright red lipstick.

"Hey, I'm Blaine, otherwise known as Whitehot. My boyfriend is Nightquake, the vigilante."

Next was a shorter Hispanic girl who gave Kitty a slight smile. "I'm Rose, but they call me Zephyr."

A strong-looking, dark-blonde-haired young woman came after Rose. "Jennifer, but you can call me Jen or Obsidian."

After Jen was a taller blonde. She grinned at Kitty as she introduced herself. "Scarlett Westfield, better known as Psyonic."

The next was a tall young woman with dark brown hair who looked the same age as Avery. "I'm Thea, Avery's best friend. My other name is Velocity."

"And, of course," Courtney started, "you already know me, Avery, and Kasey. I'm Tempora, Avery's Aspect, and Kasey's Kinesie."

(Holy crap, why do I have so many?!?)

"Hey, I'm Blaine, otherwise known as Whitehot. My boyfriend is Nightquake, the vigilante."

(No Blaine, your boyfriend is Brendon and you two are so fluffy together.)

Kitty smiled at each of the girls shyly, trying to get names down. "I-I'm Katerina. But call- call me Kitty," she said timidly.
