"Ugh, Cels!" Skye exclaimed. "You can't go alone. We can come with you. Right, Robin?" She cast a glance at his blood-soaked makeshift bandage and cringed. "On second thought, why don't we wait for a bit? I'm sure the natives won't hurt them yet, so we should come up with a plan on how to save them, rather than just running headfirst into danger."

Dara awoke to a rough voice yelling at her. She didn't know what he was saying, but the warrior appeared to be furious. She scrambled to her feet, her back to the tree. "What are they saying?" she whispered to Mihaka, sleep heavy in her voice.
