Robin looked between the two girls, hoping that they were right. "Yeah, I-I have a few animals in the forest that visit me sometimes. A couple deer, some birds, a rabbit, and two wolves."
Robin looked between the two girls, hoping that they were right. "Yeah, I-I have a few animals in the forest that visit me sometimes. A couple deer, some birds, a rabbit, and two wolves."
"Yeah… I guess he will," Dara sighed. "Whatever, right? Can't do anything about that." She clamped her teeth together. "What about your family? What were they like…before…"
Celestia bit her lower lip in deep thought.
"Okay, so for now I need some poisonous plants," Celestia started before turning to Robin. "The birds and rabbits might know which ones are poisonous. Could you try asking them? I also need some small, sharp pieces of wood I can coat with poison." She looked around and observed her surroundings. "We'll try digging as many pits as we can. Have as many animals to help out as you can. I have a pocketknife with me, and a dagger I keep in case I get in trouble during my travels. We'll get sticks and sharpen them to the point where they can easily poke through the skin. We'll stick them up in the pits as best as we can, and then we'll cover up our pits." Celestia was glad she had managed to snatch up few of her things before Skye had pulled her and Robin to safety. "I don't have many resources for more traps. I didn't think I'd be needing them, and some of the things I brought along with me got destroyed. What I need are some pieces, anything, of the crashed plane. Anything would do if I need to create traps."
When she noticed confused stares, she paused.
"The plan is to get the tribe away from Dara and Mihaka. We also need to find Fin and Jordan. Hopefully, they haven't been captured. Once we're done with the traps, your animals could chase them here, where the traps are. Many of them will die, but we have to hurry."
Robin nodded and went quietly through the forest, quickly finding a young fox and befriending it. The fox followed him as he went back to the group. "New recruit, reporting for duty!" The fox sat beside Robin patiently.
Celestia nodded in approval, but still seemed a little unsatisfied.
"We need more predators," she said, reaching down and slowly reaching out to pet the fox. "That way, they could attack the enemy and drive them to where our traps would be set up. More wolves, foxes… ferocious beasts," Celestia frowned. "I once heard about a water serpent. It seemed to be a myth, but if this island exists, and people like Mihaka exist… then maybe that serpent exists, too. Fox… who is the ruler of the waters around these parts?"
The fox made a few yipping sounds and Robin translated. "He said it's a great, terrible beast. Long, lithe, and merciless. I don't think it would be too keen on me entering its domain… but I can look for other animals." He whistled and a few birds flew towards him.
Celestia shook her head.
“No, we need that serpent. According to the legends, it has the power to wipe out the largest country with one wave. I can get it on my side, I know a lot about it.”
"O-okay, I'll help then. Who knows, maybe it'll take a liking to me? But for now, I'll go look for a couple more animals capable of fighting." He told the fox to stay and follow whatever orders it was given and went off to find some more creatures.
Skye stared, wide-eyed, as Robin spoke—spoke—to the animals. "Woah," she breathed. "I wish I could do that. I'd be just like Doctor Doolittle!"
Robin searched through the forest for a little bit before finding a wolf. He tried to speak to it, but it snarled at him, not having any of it. The wolf leaped forward and bit Robin's arm, leaving a nasty wound. The wolf ran off and Robin tried to stop the bleeding with his hand, making his way back to the others shakily.
"Mum was kind, and so, so brave. Dad was warm and fuzzy, he grew a big and bushy beard just to annoy me once. I miss them terribly."
(Well darn it)
"I'm sorry for your loss," Dara mumbled gently.
"It's alright. I will mourn when I do. But if we don't win, you and I may join them."
"Yeah. Cheery thought." Dara closed her eyes again. "I guess we should try to sleep."
Robin managed to make it back to the other two, his arm bleeding badly. His hand wasn't doing much to cover the wound, and he looked pale, clammy, and close to fainting.
Skye spotted Robin first, jumping up and rushing over to him.
"Robin! What happened? Why are you bleeding?" she asked frantically.
"I-I tried to talk to a wolf, and it attacked me…" He fell to the ground, still half conscious. "G-got… bit.."
(I gtg! Can't post, sorry!)
(Byeeee ;-;)
Celestia got out a cloth and some water, and she tore the cloth a little to pour a little water on it to wipe off the blood. She then wrapped Robin's arm with the other piece of cloth and bit her lip.
"It's all we can do for now," she murmured, hoping the wound wouldn't get infected. She had to find the serpent quickly before something happens to Robin. "Skye, take care of Robin. I'll show you how to sharpen the sticks and forming them into a spear without the blade if you don't know already."
Celestia took a rogue stick off of the ground and pulled out her knife, slowly shaping the tip of the stick into a sharp edge. When she was done, she set it on the ground and stood up, dusting her clothes.
"Take care and don't get caught," Celestia gave Skye a small hug, smiling. She looked at the fox and beckoned it to lead her to the serpent. "I'll be back as soon as I can, but if I'm unable to, Fox'll find you. Okay?"
(Jeez I missed out on a lot)
(Jeez I missed out on a lot)
(You really did! It's okay, though.)
(ack, it’d probably be easier if I just backed out of the rp)
Robin sat with Skye quietly, watching his blood seep through the cloth with his eyes wide in fear. He quickly put his hand over the wound, not wanting to see it.
