"Everything'll be okay," Skye said, trying to calm the boy down. "Just think about things that make you happy."
"Everything'll be okay," Skye said, trying to calm the boy down. "Just think about things that make you happy."
"Okay," Dara responded. It was nearing sunrise. The Herti had a campfire nearby. The two girls were tied to a tree until morning. "That's not a great plan, since they for some reason have guns but it's all we've got."
"Well, I need to steal the rest of the map." Mihaka remembered how to speak english, fully now. Pronouncing the words, with her accent though, that was still a challenge.
"B-but all those things are at home! Or they burned in the crash…" Robin put his face in his hands, trembling slightly
Skye cringed. She'd just made it worse by trying to help.
"Ssh. We'll get you back home, okay? Where do you live?" she asked.
"True," Dara agreed. "So, we act like we're fine with being slaves. We sneak into wherever they're keeping the map. We steal it and run as fast as we can. Right?"
"Um, in North Carolina… The forest is back there… I-I've made friends with some of the animals."
"Erm, no. A, The place is well guarded, so B, You need the map to get home, yeah? Well, we need to use wits and words. They have contests, and whoever wins them gets a certain prize of their choosing. And freedom. So, they happen weekly. We just have to wait a bit, and see what happens."
(I have to put this computer away now, since I'm at school, but I hope there's another one in some other class ^^)
"You like animals?" Skye questioned, her eyes lighting up. " So do I! I'm going to school to be a vet!"
(Okay!)
Celestia bit her lip. Great, first they crashed, got stranded on an unknown island and now Dara and Mihaka got kidnapped. Shaking her head, Celestia decided to focus on the situation in front of her; Robin.
"Hey," she said softly, taking Robin's face in her hands, rubbing her thumbs over his cheeks in circles. "It's going to be okay, little one. No one's going to hurt you. No one will lay a finger on you. Everything will be fine, I promise. I'll get you home safe and sound." then she paused, looking at Skye. "Skye and I will get you home. So just stay calm, okay?" she wrapped her arms around him, slowly rubbing his head. "You have to be brave, all right? For your parents. For yourself. I know this is scary for you. Trust me, it's terrifying for me, too. But we'll make it out in one piece. But I need you to stay calm. Can you do that for me, brave one?"
(Oh, I posted too late. Whoops)
(No, it still makes sense!)
(Yay~!)
"Contests? I'm not good at…anything, really. Especially if it's physical." Dara grimaced. "What type of contests?"
"Wit, bravery, a lot of physical things, though."
Dara shook her head. "I'll leave that up to you, then. Hopefully I can be useful some other way."
"Well, do you know anything about puzzles, riddles, trick questions, health and medicine?"
"I'm smart," Dara replied, nodding. "I can handle all of that." She tilted her head back, her head resting against the tree. Her eyes fluttered shut. "This is going to be one hell of a story to tell my brother when I get home."
"What's your brother like?"
Dara smiled fondly. "A mess. He's my twin. He's so overdramatic and he flirts with literally anyone. But he's actually just a huge dork who gets flustered when a girl really talks to him."
"Oh. He sounds funny. Where do you think he is, right now.?"
Dara opened her eyes again, gazing up at the stars. "He should be studying. But he's probably out with our friends. He won't miss me until tomorrow, when I was supposed to get home." Her jaw clenched. "I'm glad at least for tonight he's happy."
"Oh. Wow, he probably misses you."
