(Divine Irish Potato, Write's character is Rainy, not Steam, and can you please write a little more? One liners are difficult to respond to, especially when everyone else is posting much more than that)

"Morning, Carsyn," she greeted with a gentle smile. She could feel the other girl's fear, but that was no surprise to her. She reached out carefully and placed a hand on her arm. "How are you?"
Allison checked on the steering mechanics. They were in one piece. Allison reported back to Captain Lio.
"All in one piece, 'Aptain," Allison said.
Andre twisted the signet ring, heading over to make himself a cup of coffee. They weren't quite in the clear yet, so he would have to sleep later. The ship came first. He rubbed his jaw, blowing on the coffee to try and cool it down. The ship would be fine for now, and he needed some time out of the storm and out of the thunder to try and reorient himself, gather his wits around him.
"Alright, good morning to you all. Rainy, can you check around the ship to make sure everyone's alright? Shaw, I want you to make some checks on the essential mechanics of the ship. Head down to the engine room, make a fuel check and let off some steam." he waved his arms to direct the crew around the ship. "Andre, keep the ship on course. If the Magnet's going fuzzy don't worry about it, just give it a whack and it'll be set. It hasn't been working the best lately and the compass is a little out of shape, we'll get it replaced soon. Hopefully." Lio made his way up to the metal beams keeping the ship's frame together, the creaking of the hull uncomfortably… creaky. Captain Lio Rose Barrett, master of describing things. It's just that he'd been flying for so long, and as you go along the things you know become ingrained beyond words.
The ship needed more fixing than he'd originally planned for. That would take a chunk out of everyone's paychecks for sure. Well, shit, that would be hard news to break, especially when 'business' hadn't been the best lately.
Tying a piece of cloth around his forehead, Rael moved strands of hair away from his face. It was his first favorite time of the day, morning time which meant one thing, breakfast. Every day he felt the same excited ready energy from the day before. Usually the chief cook woke up at a time that was early for some of the crew, yet it was early enough to get food and utensils ready. He has to make sure that everything is clean and made sure there was enough to make whatever he planned the night before.
For this morning, he decided to make porridge that he used to have growing using whatever ingredients was in the inventory. On the side is of course biscuits and everyone gets a small bowl of beans. Rael was thinking of using some of the fruit that he's managed to keep cool, but he decided to possibly save for dinner or the next day. There was some ale for the crew to drink as well; the crew would have to get a glass of it themselves though.
As the oven made a little ding, he went from the window to the counter with some mittens. The man was very careful with things like the burner and the oven, he didn't want to get another burn. Covering his hands with the mittens, Rael slowly pulled each tray out then set it on the counter. He threw the mittens to the side before staring down at his watch. Everything else was ready, it's just the biscuits have to cool down for a couple of minutes.
(Hey guys, I'm gonna be gone for like 20-ish minutes. Keep RPing to your hearts delight, just don't interact with Lio for now.)
Shawn pocketed the gun and decided to check up on the crew. He left his room and headed for the deck. When he went out, he saw Captain Leo and waved. "Captain! I want to show you somethi-" He got cut off buy and loud thunderclap. He almost jumped out of his boots. He changed his mind and said, "Never mind Captain. I'll be off to my room." He sighed. Being on a ship seemed hard, but a flying ship In a storm? Shawn was not ready for that.
Rainy's lips puckered a little. She always had a hard time reading the captain's emotions, but he felt…tired or disappointed or something. She decided she would offer him a few melatonin tablets next time she saw him. Of course, she had no way of knowing if his tiredness was drowsiness or something else, but at least she could try to help. She decided her first order of business would be to check on everyone, like he said, so she awaited Carsyn's response.
With a slight side-to-side bob of her head, Carsyn quickly copied the movement with a teeter-totter of her hand in response to Rainy, as if to say 'So-so.' Really, she was practically trembling and wanted nothing more than to bundle herself up into a blanket, but she put on a brave face for the sake of the crew. If she had a job to do, then she'd do it without complaint—not that she really could complain, besides facial expressions and sign language.
"Oh, babe, I know," she said, making sure she kept her voice gentle. Thunder continued to rumble in the distance, and the clouds were slowly beginning to gather. "You don't have to be on deck right now if you don't want to. It's alright."
Allison went to the kitchen to see what Rael was cooking. It smelled good.
"Hey," Allison said. She scared Rael with her sudden presence.
Carson stretched his fingers as he made his way up to the main deck, chasing away the uncomfortable stiffness that still clung to his joints. The engines were holding together, mostly, and the hull seemed to be withstanding the thunder and rain, so the main concern was keeping everyone on task until they managed to make it through the turbulence. That, and seeing Rainy. His condition had been getting worse and worse as of late, and something about storms always brought out the worst of it.
I miss my boyfriend Damien. Allison though to herself. Rael kinda looks like him a lot.
She really didn't want to be alone, but the rumbling thunder was getting to her, and Carsyn couldn't keep up the brave face for long. A guiltily pleading look morphed over her face as she peered up at Rainy and slowly signed. "Could I stay in your office?" It was always a gamble as to who on the ship could understand sign language, and she often forgot who were the few she could communicate with that way. Carsyn hoped that Rainy understood her meaning.
Rainy spotted Carson from across the deck. He was moving stiffly and she could feel waves of discomfort emanating from him. She waved him over, silver jewelry clinking on her wrists as her arms moved. "Hey, Carson. Come join us." She looked back over at Carsyn and smiled. "Of course you can. You're always welcome."
Why did it always feel like the long hand took forever to move ahead? Time had always seemed to slow down before mealtime. The feeling had always bothered him, somehow patience always rested within him. Rael sighed as he wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. Realizing what he just did, his attention went to washing his hands and not the time. Some old habits haven't died for him yet, strange now that he thought of it.
After cleaning off his hands, he went over to the window. Rael lightly leaned against the wall looking out at the horizon. Every time his dark brown eyes caught a glimpse, the man couldn't help but stare just for a second longer. It really is something to him, you couldn't get this view or feeling anywhere else except up in the air. Evening starry skies mean just that much to him too.
He wiped off his forehead with his pink rag before stuffing it in his pocket. Once again, he took a quick glimpse at his watch; only a few more minutes to go. Rael looked up and noticed that Allison was there. For a second, his eyes widened, how did he not hear the door? Ah, he needs to be attentive. What if something else happened? "Morning Allison.", he smiled,"Breakfast should be ready soon, I made some rice porridge, beans, and the biscuits are cooling off."
((legit didn't realize there was a Carson before using my girl, so freaking trippy))
Shawn sighed. He continued his work. He decided to scrap the idea of the gun. There was no way it would actually work. He put it aside and put his head down. He was the only one that wasn't on deck. He looked back at his closet and looked back. He remembered what his father said to him when he was younger. "When ye'll be pirate like me you'll have to work on deck. You'll always be needed on deck." Shawn liked the part 'You'll always be needed', even if his father didn't mean it like that.
He decided to head to the kitchen. See what Rael was cooking up. He finally found the kitchen door and he spotted Alison in there as well. He decided to great both of them. "Good day, Rael. Good day Alison. What'cha making?" Shawn asked Rael.
(Can we have like a romance in this? Just curious… Because I want my character to have a romance with Rael if thats okay with @knightinadream)
Carson gave her a smile and a nod and made his way over with practiced ease, even as the pain began to flare up. It was strong today, stronger than it had been in a while, but he managed to keep most of the discomfort from his face as he smiled at Rainy and Carsyn. "Rainy! Just the lady I've been looking for, how's the storm treating you?"
(be back in a few, gotta eat dinner)
(also i'd be down for romance)
((

"I love a good storm," she replied, "but I still prefer the sun. What can I do for you?"
