"hey! that's my cat!!" i yell as i run after the tall shadow, only to be perplexed when he disappears
"hey! that's my cat!!" i yell as i run after the tall shadow, only to be perplexed when he disappears
you hear quiet snickering and muttering almost seeming to come from the shadows itself, then a raspy awkward voice all around you, still from the darkness filling the alley, "you want it back?" an eerie cackle split the air.
"yes!! very much!!" i call back
"how about… we cut a deal…" you could almost hear the evil grin in their voice.
"…i'm listening" i am wary
the shadows grow and spread, there was just a moment of darkness. then you were in a room, surprisingly, filled with piles of blankets, cushions ,pillows and shiny knick-knacks. near the other side of the wall, sitting on the biggest stack of cloth and stuffing sat an aarakocra crow, a mendelian of a bleeding eye hanging around their neck.
"glad to hear it, cause i have something that i need done." it said in a chipper voice.

you wake up, everything is pitch black and you can barely see. faintly, the light begins to grow stronger until the hunched, canine form of a battleworn gnoll holding a candle came into view. you could now see you were in a beaten up metal cell with a rusty lock, "they are coming. don't leave. guards outside." said the gnoll, his voice was gruff and he spoke in sharp barks in a lower dialect of common.
he tossed some rations just outside the cell and left.
(your turn yoru)
although you are primarily a blacksmith, you are also a fighter.
through unknown means your clan has caught word of a huge upcoming attack on the city spellbound, it's not imminent, but is a terrible threat to all the inhabitants of the large haven.
your clan was probably strong enough to survive an attack on their own, but the clan was too noble to let bystanders get hurt.
so yoru, you've been sent to The caves of Beshaba with another person from the clan, as well as four others sent to different locations.
you've just heard the message, they say there's five days before the attack begins and it takes two to get out to The caves of Beshaba. what would you like to do?
(ok, shimo, finn, you to start a little early in the timeline just so you know)
(👍)
I sit up and reach for the food but pause to inspect the area, making sure that it’s safe to grab before it do
you can't see much in the dim light, but it seems to be safe enough.
I hesitate and crawl to the wall across from the door and stare into the dim lit abiss
(question, do you plan to do anything, or should i keep narrating?)
(Go ahead and narrate away my friend)
(welp, y'all, this might be the last time I have a chance to get back here before I leave for a trip. so, @VinegarSoup and shimo, once i get back im going to assume and narrate as if all of you are in the dungeon, so hopefully that's fine with you too since you guys are the only ones who haven't specifically said what your doing. other then, @That-One_Person, i'll get back to that descreption after the break, sry.)
