From Within his Dorm Room, Max is packing a satchel with all of his necessities. He plopped a few days worth of rations, and some books to read. Really, wasn't much to prepare for the dungeon aside from his arcane focus. Jerome from over the desk seemed to be sleeping while Max was packing. Max placed a few more extra books into his bag, and declared it packed for the trip.
(i'll get mal and finn's starters up, then i'll come back to you.)
(👍)
(ok mal.)
the non-humanoid people who call themselves 'the eerie', have celebrated the war since the start. no longer will they play by the folks rules, and they'll finally get what they want, what they deserve.
most of the eerie had split motivations as to why they were working together to eradicate the folk, but they at least agree they none of them will get anywhere while fighting the humanoids and each other.
The caves of Beshaba have been home to many mimics over the years, but since the war started it's been home to a rather large colony of mimic's that rule the caves and even most of the other beings who lived there. every now and then in recent years groups of young wizards would find their way through, raiding their nests. this time they eerie have figured out when the folk will come. talk about an attack is all through the tunnels.
there are only two days until then, malorie, how would you like to prepare?
Malorie hears the chatter from the eerie passing by her cave. None of the other mimics cared about her at all, so she knew she didn't hear on purpose. She just sat there like she always did, changing her form slightly, propping open her chest and covering herself in her treasures. It would hide her effectively.
(hey finn did you read the starter, and if so, what side are you on? the folk, the eerie, third party or neutral?)
(i'm with the eerie :)
(ah, oki)
(yellow, @That-One_Person i have to get to finn first but im almost there)
(Do I have to be a mimic or can i be a Dragonborne?)
(you can be anything you want, even outside the playable races. as long as it's not op, so no dragons or anything.)
(did you read the starters or should i summarize?)
(may i please join this?)
(yeah ofc)
(it'd be great if you and that guy could fill out some character sheets(there's a template))
(I skimmed the starter somewhat)
(ok, i'll just quickly sum the other starters for shimo too)

(so basically, there's a war between the folk, who are pretty much the playable races in dnd give or take, and the eerie, or as the folk call them as a way of insult, the beasts. and there are eight places where it's completely safe called 'havens'. (if you want something else, or want to know the standing of certain races we can discuss further)
(maxis attending a school for magic users right next to one of the biggest havens, that also stands as a big threat to the eeire.)
(mal is in a dungeon, that's where the mimic thyme begins)
(so finn, how much do you love your cat spoon?)
(i love him so much i would die for him)
(… good to know…)
(…you're not…..you're not gonna kill him right?)
(not if you're fast. (im not actually that evil))
the city of T'mecho was generally peaceful, even though it wasn't a haven, open to both eerie and folk. many people go there since it's been in high demand for workers recently.
rumours of gathering hostile eerie, spread through the dark streets and narrow alleys.
the markets seem vacant and even the shops seem to be closing.
finn, as you're walking down the roads, your thin little cat, spoon, was weaving between your legs, making it a little hard to walk without stepping on it.
suddenly, it bristled and hissed, suddenly bolting into a dark alley the two had just pasted.
there was more hissing and growling, then suddenly, it spoon yelped and the noise stopped.
i run after spoon to try to see if he's ok
you hear the clank of metal, and for a second a tall shadow disappears as it turns a corner.
