"I told you that I was born for this," Paige said, smiling broadly.
"I told you that I was born for this," Paige said, smiling broadly.
"I shouldn't have doubted you," He said quietly, his face still so close that in any other situation would be awkward, but now, it was almost… romantic.
Paige was tempted to move her face forwards, just a couple of inches, so that their noses would brush. She sucked in a breath and felt a tingle on the tip of her nose. The expectation was met.
Darren smiled, resisting the sudden urge to kiss her. He just met her, he didn't want to scare her off. Instead, he leaned into her nose, the contact would have to be enough.
Paige heard a disappointed sigh from one of the nearby tables as she pressed her forehead to Darren's. A kid muttered, only to be shushed by his mother, "When are they gonna kiss like the movies?"
Darren smiled, "They want us to kiss," he looked into her eyes.
"So I hear," Paige grinned shyly, trying not to look at the child who'd spoken.
"Well, I mean, we really shouldn't disappoint people should we?"
Paige lifted a hand to his cheek. "Of course not."
He smiled and leaned in the rest of the way, their lips brushing. He moved a hand to the back of her head to pull her in.
Paige looped her arms around until she could entwine her fingers in his hair. Every point where she touched Darren vibrated with electricity.
Darren let out a small noise into the kiss, his hair was his weakness. He broke the kiss gently but stayed close as he looked into her eyes.
"YAY! JUST LIKE THE MOVIES!" the child called out, earning several laughs.
Paige blushed and averted Darren's gaze, which was rather hard to do when he was less than 1.5 inches away from her face.
He used a hand to move her chin so she was looking at him, "Was that okay?"
"Let's make sure," Paige murmured before crashing her lips once more into his. She'd never instigated a kiss before.
He let out a little laugh into the kiss as he pressed his tongue against her lips, almost asking for permission to enter.
Paige opened her lips wide. Her tongue met his. She rubbed his hair.
Darren's head was spinning, suddenly he didn't care where he was or who was watching. He deepened the kiss and let his tongue explore her mouth, this was much better than school.
Paige dug her fingers into his hair. A nearly inaudible sigh escaped her lips.
The song had ended and they were the current center of attention though Darren didn't notice until the clapping and whistling came.
Paige was lost and unable to be found. Not even the loudest cheer could bring her out of this. She pushed into his mouth and allowed her tongue to scraped over his teeth.
Darren heard the crowd but couldn't stop. He was lost in Paige and didn't know how to go back now. He only broke off long enough to say, "You wanna get out of here?"
"Mmmm," Paige replied.
He smiled and took her by the hand before leading her out of the restaurant to his car.
Reality hit Paige just as her car door slammed shut. She turned to Darren, wanting to say something.
