"Do you have to see something to understand it? Hear something? Write something? Touch something?"
"Do you have to see something to understand it? Hear something? Write something? Touch something?"
"I like music so hearing works then, music is the only thing I focus on."
"Then…" Paige finished writing a sentence and put down her pen, "you're an auditory learner. So I suggest, when you are in class, listen to the teacher. You'll pick up things better. And watch her mouth move. Don't ask me, it's just how auditory learners are."
"Her mouth?" He sighed, "Okay," he turned around and tried to focus on the teacher he kept getting distracted before resprting to staring at her mouth. Less distractions.
Paige smiled, admiring his profile. She heard a whee-wheeo! and quickly looked away. This earned a round of guy laughter.
Darren wasn't distracted by the whistling or the laughter, both things that would have ruin his attention 10 minutes ago.
Paige smiled. Darren was really focusing now.
Darren broke his focus to look at Paige, "Thank you," He mouthed.
"Maybe you can help me with musical lines," Paige joked. (Takes is seriously.)
He thought for a second, "You free after school?"
"Oh, um…" she checked the date. "Yeah, I guess."
"We can do it then," He nodded and winked before looking back to the teacher.
Paige was shocked. Was it that easy to get a date with the quarterback? No, this isn't a date. We're going to practice, she told herself
The bell rang and class ended. For some reason Darren found himself waiting for Paige.
Paige gathered all of her things and walked out the door. She bumped right into Darren's chest. "Oof! Sorry!"
He chuckled, "It's fine."
"Darren!" Paige exclaimed. She wasn't sure whether to jump on him or take a step back.
"Yeah, that's me," He looked confused, as usual. "You okay?"
"Yeah, yup, yes, I'm… fine," she paused slightly but shook it off.
(I gtg… Goodnight. Ill be back at 8AM tomorrow… about)
(Okie!)
“Okay, if you say so,” he laughed. He didn’t know why he was waiting for her in the first place. “Where do you go next?”
"Algebra," Paige answered with a slight moan.
"What about you?" she asked.
"I don't know" He laughed before whispering, "I never go,"
