John avoids eye contact with Nym "The anger….I hate it…It comes from when I was tortured. It turns me into a bad guy and I loved every minute of it. I was in power and nothing could stop me…john trails off then looks at nym and answers honestly "I'm angry because what you seem to have felt between me and jackie was nothing. She was saying good bye to me , jackie is leaving on a plane here soon and wanted to say good bye. And yes I do kind of treat you like a child and I am sorry for that. I thought with your hypersensitivity with feelings that I should keep it low and easy. John pauses and sighs slightly feeling ashamed " I didn't mean to coddle you Nym ..
"You think I knew she was saying goodbye?" she smiles "and uh, I'm also on an end of the torture spectrum. I enjoy it cause it happened too often. I don't want to talk about it." she grazes the side of his face "Don't feel ashamed, hun. I don't mind being treated like a child, but you can't keep things from me." Nym froze and for a brief moment looked toward the kitchen door, then to the fire place as the wood became engulfed in flame. She stood (not herself) and reached a hand out to the yellow and orange licks of flame "Don't be alarmed," she spoke sounding more dejected "I have to…" she trailed off as she sat in front of the fire
"Mmhmm" Nym mumbled and slowly removed her hand from the fire "I'm sorry" Nym said with a little more feeling "I love you my prince, but why can you not remember, do you even know?" Nym spoke softly as he walked out the door and a tear fell
John parks in front of his house and sighs knowing he left things unsaid so he then drives back to Nyms house and gets out. He barges back into Nyms house and right up to her then without thinking he leans in and kisses Nym softly. After a long moment he pulls away and murmurs softly "Maybe next time I need to show how I feel instead of saying it"
Nym was taken by surprise, a small noise arose in her throat as he kissed her "I thought you left to sort your thoughts." Nym looked up at John with her red eyes and sniffled "I thought you needed time to think, what even is our relationship?"
John tilts his head sideways then shakes his head " I didn't want to leave you without a kiss. And I didn't leave to think about us. I left because I was afraid of confronting us….but the more I thought about it. The more I felt that leaving us like were are was me being a coward." John reaches his hand up and caresses Nyms cheek "And the thought of you crying more made me feel like I was being a jackass"
Nym smiled at his touch "I understand, but honestly do you think we could work out?"
John hesitates then nods slowly "I would hope so….What do you think Nym? " John hopes she says yes but thinking back to all their encounters he feels ashamed for bringing her into things she didn't need to be brought into if she would be involved with him
Nym smiles and nods "I say yes, but on one condition."
John smiles but to keep from getting too excited he nods and replies "Yes? What is your condition Nym? "
Nym giggles feeling his happiness radiate off of him "You talk to me about the things that I know you've been hiding. I don't know hat you're protecting me from, but I can handle myself."
John thinks for a moment then nods knowing that what she was asking of him was fair. "Of course…I know you can handle yourself. I promise to tell you whatever you need to know at any time." John leans in and places a kiss on Nyms cheek and whispers softly "So , would you like me to stay? Or do you want me to leave and let you get some much needed rest?"
"I won't tether you, but I won't kick you out." Nym looked at him for a long minute "On second thought I'm holding you hostage, at least till I fall asleep. You can leave whenever you'd like." Nym wraps her arms around him and whispers into his chest "Danke."
John chuckles then pulls her closer and smiles. He then proceeds to pick her up and carry her to her room, once in her room John lays her down and he joins her then turns himself towards her pulling her into a snuggle and laughs "Holding me hostage? I think not , for I now have the advantage!"
Nym giggled as he picked her up and carried her up the stairs "I only allow you to think that." She said as she snuggled into him and listened to his heart. After a long moment she spoke "Have you noticed the emotions are dulled when you physically interact?" she found his hand and intertwined their fingers
John takes a moment to think and replies back " No….well I suppose it is when I think about it " john smiles when nym takes his hand in hers. John then starts to hum feeling fully content where he is
Half asleep Nym mumbles into his chest "I know that tune" Nym trails off drifting to sleep
For several minutes john strokes her hair and smiles but he soon starts to feel sleepy listening to Nyms soft breathing. John then places a kiss on nyms forehead and closes his eyes after mumbling softly "Sleep well mia bello"
Nym wakes up to John still in her bed and she blushes. She slowly climbs off the bed, careful not to wake him. She opened a drawer in her dresser and grabbed some clothes, she desperately wanted a shower to clear her head. After getting in the shower she hummed a few tunes and softly sang a few songs. When she finished showering and getting dressed she waited for John to wake up. He looked peaceful, she remembered the night he fell asleep on her couch and giggled
John rolls over on his other side still sleeping and he snores slightly he then grumbles slightly and runs a hand through his hair clearly looking like he won't wake up too soon
She laughs "Cutie." she walks over and kisses his forehead. She grabs a pen and some paper and writes him a note "I went out for coffee, I should be back before you wake up. If I'm not don't panic. Much love, Nym" She walks down stairs and to Raimond and drives to the familiar coffee shop
After Nym leaves john stretches and wakes up slightly and upon seeing the note Nym wrote he reads it and smiles. John then gets up and uses Nym bathroom and grumbles as he looks in the mirror "I look like a mess!" He laughs and fixes his hair then leaves the bathroom and walks downstairs into the kitchen to make breakfast
Nym arrives back home and sneaks behind John and wraps her arms around his waist "Morning stranger."
John jumps slightly in surprise and laughs then turns around in Nym embrace and places a kiss on the top of her head "Good morning to you too other stranger"
Nym smiles and sits down at the island "How'd you sleep?"
