There was a knock at the door. Juliette, who had been going through the contents of the kitchen again, quickly went to the door and opened it.
Giuseppe, dressed in a particularly fancy-looking suit, was standing in the hall. He gave her a slight, quick bow, and said, "Ah, good morning mio caro. I trust you slept well?"
She nodded. "It's quite cozy in here." She returned his bow. "Thank you for escorting us here, godfather."
He smiled. "Prego."
(sauce X'D )
Drew sat up and rubbed his eyes tiredly, his hair was a mess from the night he spent on the couch. He looked at the door, "Good morning." He stood up and took a few steps towards the door.
"Did you want us for something, Giuseppe?" Juliette asked.
The old man seemed confused for a moment, then spoke. "Ah, yes. You must meet la famiglia today."
Juliette cocked her head. "Do you mean, the family?"
"Is that word?" He now seemed sheepish. "Mi dispiace, my English is – broken."
"Not to worry," Drew walked closer towards the two. "Are we going now or…?" He trailed off.
"You must be dressed good," Giuseppe told them, gesturing to their current choice of clothing. "Do you have good clothes?"
"At our old apartment, yes. We've been meaning to speak with you about that; we left most of our things there. Could we go and get them?"
He pondered this. "I will send miei amici to get them."
Drew nodded, "Alright, should we go with them? We know where everything is."
"Va bene. I will join you."
"Okay," Juliette said, trying to sound happy. If she acted like she would embrace him as a father figure, perhaps he would take a special liking to her.
Might come in handy.
Drew nodded, smiling. He looked around the lounge before picking up the keys to their old apartment, "Ready to go when you are."
"Now."
He lead them to a different apartment within the building, and knocked on the door. It was opened by a tall, muscular man with shaggy brown hair and a slightly frowning face.
"Giuseppe," he said. His voice was husky, and he stood at attention in front of the old man. "Do you require assistance?
(Gimmie a sec here, sorry, my computer cord is wonky D: )
Drew followed behind Juliette. He shoved his hands in his pockets and quietly watched neutrally.
(Okie dokie)
(Okey, I'm back :D )
"We will be going to their home to collect their things. You and Angelo will assist us."
"Va bene, the tall man said. He turned to Drew. "Welcome, I assume you are new?"
"Uh yeah, My names Drew." He smiled, "Nice to meet you."
"Did someone say assist?" a voice within the apartment called loudly, and two seconds later, another man was standing in the doorway.
"Ah, Angelo, you are already here," Giuseppe said gruffly.
Angelo tossed his head, shifting his long black bangs out of his eyes. He flashed a smile. "Perhaps I already knew you would need our assistance, but who cares? Now, I heard there's some new people here?"
Wow, this guy is fruity… Juliette thought.
She smiled at him. "I'm Juliette."
"I'm Drew." He continued to smile.
"And hellO to you!" he said flamboyantly, before nudging his friend. "This is Sergio, if he hasn't already been introduced to you."
Sergio raised an eyebrow.
Drew grinned, "Lovely to meet you both. Shall we get going?"
"Let us get going," Giuseppe said in a commanding tone.
They drove to the old apartment, with Angelo gossiping pretty much the entire time, until Giuseppe glared at him. He reluctantly quieted down, until they reached the house.
Drew jumped out of the car and opened the apartment door. He slipped into his room and quickly gathered up all his clothes and stuff.
"Woah there, we're supposed to be helping you," Sergio said, coming up behind him.
Juliette and Angelo went to her room, where she began gathering her own things. Angelo handed her random items scattered across the room.
(My brother has to do school – DX – so I gotta go
Welcome back to 'Murica! Tell me about Scotland when we do this again :D )
(Ah, well see you. And yeah, will do.
Also just going to mention I live in England and I have never been to America.)
"Well, I mean, you don't have to. I'm sure I can handle a little packing," Drew joked, pulling his luggage bag from under his bed.
(Well con-sarnd-it – sorry XD
Okay then, on behalf of England, welcome back XD)
"Of course you can." He shrugged. "I'll carry your things to the car, then."
