"But… but there's no boats at the port! I didn't hear any helicopters or airplanes, and I-I dunno whether there's any other way to get here…" Lucas picked up his flashlight.

"I have a sort of spaceship. Well, Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Ship." the Doctor said.
Lucas was silent for a moment before pulling himself back to his feet. "Er… pardon?" What does he mean, 'a spaceship'? That just looks like an old telephone booth, which… wasn't there before, actually…
"Want to take a look?" he asked, pushing the door open to reveal a proper spaceship-y room inside. It was, of course, bigger on the inside than the outside. Much bigger.
(The Doctor: finds random kid Hey wanna see my fancy spaceship
Lucas: Who are you??)
Is this safe? Lucas looked into the telephone booth, trying to figure out how it worked. The place was massive on the inside, but the proportions on the outside were unaffected. "How does it…? I mean, that's not possible, is it?"
"Well, there aren't any human words to describe it so I'd just call it Time Lord science and leave it at that." he grinned.
Human words? Is he not human? Lucas looked up at the Doctor quizzically. "Who… who are you guys anyways? I-I haven't seen you around before, and this place is pretty small. Everyone basically knows everyone else."
"I'm from a world that exists despite the objections of the laws of physics, and he's a bit of a travelling hermit." Susan explained.
"That's… okay, whatever. What are your names?" Lucas stepped back, feeling very small and defenseless. If either of these people tried to abduct or attack him, he could do nothing about it.
"As I said. I'm Miss Susan, and he's the Doctor." Susan said.
"The Doctor? He… doesn't have a name other than that?" Everyone has a name, right?
"Yeah. Most people ask 'Doctor Who', though." Susan remarked.
"So I'm just supposed to call him 'the Doctor'? No one calls him anything else?"
"I've been called many things." the Doctor said. Though his tone was casual, you could tell there was bitterness and resentment underneath that calm composure.
Lucas wanted to ask further questions, but kept quiet so as to not pry. "M-My name is Lucas. I don't live in any special dimensions or anything… just here on this island."
"Well then, Lucas, why do you think I received a distress call?" the Doctor asked.
"A distress call? What are you talking about?" Lucas looked confused, his flashlight hanging loosely in his hand.
"Psychic…. oh, never mind. I probably landed in the wrong place. Again." he said.
"Wait wait wait, can you explain it more? I've heard about people with those kinds of powers before, so you might be in the right place."
"No, I mean psychic paper. It receives messages all the time, cries for help, distress calls, that sort of thing." he sighed.
"Well, what did the paper tell you?" Psychic paper? Whatever, just go with it…
"Oh, and I can use it to break into places. And out of them." he said. It was a universal ID card, even better than a Skeleton Key. "But it said 'Help'. Just that."
"How are you supposed to know where to go if it just says help, then? Does it say what kind of help someone needs? Who needs it?"
"People are generally very vague about what help they want. Believe me, I'd love them to be more specific." the Doctor scoffed.
"That still doesn't explain how you can find the person… can you track the messages to the source or something?" Lucas was even more confused now. Who were these people really? Why were they here? How did they even find this place?
