I can post another thing? To help toss them back in?
I can post another thing? To help toss them back in?
I guess?
Right, one minute.
"Well, someone's been controlling this for a while." the Doctor muttered. "But how? It's an honest company!" Quell threw his hands up in protest. "Hm. Lost the stomach for the fight, Captain? Obviously someone has been meddling. Will, Nico, find anything out?" the Doctor turned to the demigods, walking over to them.
Will and Nico look up. Nico shakes his head. "It's unlike anything I've ever seen. I looked at all the bodies and… It's so weird. Any luck with Alison?" He asks. Will was still muttering his thoughts, his eyes flickering.
"Well, not as of yet. We'll get her out of that place, don't worry." the Doctor said calmly. "Anyways, we've gathered plenty of data, but not enough. I hope that the beast strikes again soon." he said nonchalantly.
Will groans. "I hate this. I feel so useless! We can't help Alison, there's a looking danger, or mummy thing! We don't know who's going to die next! I hate this!" He hisses. He was going into rage mode.
"Well, from a research point of view, the next death will be useful. Stop moping." the Doctor commented.
Nico winces. That wasn't wise to say around Will. A sadistic smile etches itself on Will's lips. "Yes… Useful…" He giggles.
"See? Now, let's figure out who will be next, then." the Doctor muttered.
Nico walks to Will, but the blonde backs up, clutching his head. "A death will be useful." He giggles, muttering the words over and over again. He looks up, giggling, his eyes wide.
"Well, it would. So act serious, chin up, all that." the Doctor ordered, rather unkindly.
Nico winces. "I wouldn't recommend saying that." Will eyes go blank and turn white. Sunlight starts flowing from his hands. Nico gulps. "Will! Listen to me!"
"I'm not scared of you, in case that's your intention. There's much more out there, in case you haven't noticed. You're being hostile and selfish. There are passengers on board who need to get to safety as a matter of urgency. My job is to keep all of you safe. You're stopping me from doing that. I have a duty of care for you, me, everyone here, and you're putting that at risk. Sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones, that doesn't mean you can always opt for indecision!" the Doctor criticized. "Now calm down before someone gets hurt, or worse."
Will laughs softly. "Really. Frighten you? Oh please. You're the Doctor. Nothing frightens you! No… No… A death is so helpful except to the person who dies." He giggles. "There's another way." His head tilts at a dangerous angle.
"Will, think about Alison. Nico. Joe. Your fellow campers. The innocents on this ship. You could destroy the ship. Do you really want to risk all that? Trust me, if you do, you'll soon wish you hadn't." the Doctor said quietly. People had began to stare, in fear of Will, and his bordering on violent meltdown.
Will giggle. "Oh doctor. You have no idea what a child of Apollo is capable of." He giggles. "There's no such thing as an innocent doctor. You should know that. We all die sinned and dirty. No matter what you believe. We all die doctor. All except you." He sneers. "Will. Look at me." Nico orders.
"That's right. I don't die. Imagine how painful that is, watching everyone else wither and decay before you. Your friends, family, loved ones, everyone you ever cared about." he said, something of a calm anger rising in him. "If I have to kill you to save the others here, believe me, I won't hesitate to do so. The greater good is the only good."
Nico looks at Will as Will stares at the doctor. "There's only grey doctor. There is no such thing as "Greater Good." There is no black and white." He hisses. Nico reached towards Will and takes his hand. "Will." Will starts and looks down. He seems to hesitate.
"Will, you have one warning. Don't make me do anything I might regret in a century or two if I actually ever remember this." the Doctor warned, tone implying that he would be studying his nails if he didn't have to keep both hands at the ready to strike at any second.
Will growls. "Will. Focus on me. Please. I know you can hear me." Nico orders. "He knows what he's doing. Will. Look at me." Will slowly calmed down, his eyes shutting in exhaustion. Nico catches him.
"Well, good riddance on that account. Now, back to work then! No time to waste! You all remember what our lovely friend Gus told us, hurry up before it kills you." the Doctor ordered to all the stunned scientists. He ignored Will, continuing to tinker with machines and assorted gadgetry.
Nico rolls his eyes. "Will is passed out, the Doctor is busy. What the hell am I supposed to do?" He starts. "Um. Doctor? What if I shadow travelled them out?" He asks. "Alison and her friend I mean."
"Don't try. Suppression field." he said, not looking over at Nico.
Nico nods and sighs, looking down at Will. The son of Apollo looked rather sick. It had been happening with him a lot.
