The Doctor walked off to sit in the small crowd that had gathered for Alison's wedding, but the Master walked back over to where Alison was putting the finishing touches on her outfit. "Miss Cheney, are you alright?" he asked her. "No, actually. I'm mortified. What if I mess up my vows? Or trip? I'm terrified of this, to be honest." she admitted. "Miss Cheney, there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. Now, shall I walk you down the aisle, or do you wish to leave your husband-to-be waiting for someone who does not intend to show up?" he asked. "Bacon crisp our lard and savor, no need to act so standoffish. God, what's even up with you? Most of the time you're fine, but I can never tell whether you actually even like me or care about me most of the time. Even compliments turn into condescending remarks with you." she scolded. "Miss Cheney, I do not wish to offend. But this is a big moment for you, and I do not intend to let you down, nor have you let me down. Now come, once this is over you'll look back and wonder how you could have possibly been so scared, believe me." he consoled her, holding out an arm. Alison gripped the android's arm tightly, as if she would lose balance if she didn't. She walked out to the entrance of the chapel, and when her cue was called, she walked in, the Master leading her slowly up the aisle. She caught the Doctor's eye in the crowd, he gave Alison a small wave, and eventually she reached the altar. She saw Joe, he was a tall, reasonably muscular man, with blond hair and kind grey-green eyes, as well as a light tan. She smiled, they said their vows, and when the words "you may now kiss the bride" were uttered, she gratefully leaned in, kissing him passionately, a passion he returned. "I love you." he mouthed to her, Alison's eyes sparkled with faint tears of joy.

Will and Nico sat there, trying to keep their squeals under control. "She's breathtaking." Will mutters, and Nico nods. He felt like a proud brother.

Later, at the reception, Alison walked over to Will, Nico, and the Doctor. "I can't believe I actually, well, I can't believe how well this turned out. Also, Joe noticed you having come, and he wants to talk about how you blew up our house when you and I first met. Prepare for an awkward discussion." she murmured.

Will and Nico greet her with large smiles. Will gently hugs her. "I'm so happy for you Alison!" Will squeals. Nico nods and smiles. "It's a wonderful thing to marry the one you love. I look forward to meeting your husband." Will returns to Nico's side, weaving their hands together.

"Well, he's coming this way." Alison noted as her husband approached. "Er, Doctor. Hi." Joe said sheepishly. "Hello. It's a very exciting day for you and Alison, isn't it?" he asked, taking a glass of champagne from a nearby table. "I suppose it would be." Joe chuckled nervously.

Nico nods towards Joe and Will beams, giving a small bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." He says politely. "Nico and I have heard a lot about you from Alison." Nico nods, offering his thin and pasty white hand to shake. "A pleasure."

"Oh Lord, she's told you everything, hasn't she?" Joe laughed, suddenly seeming much more at ease. "Well, it's nice to meet you, er…." he trailed off, but shook Nico's hand either way.

"Nico Di Angelo." He replies, smiling slightly. Will nods. "Will Solace." He beams at Alison. "I'm so proud of you." He says excitedly. "Will, calm down." Nico says gently, settling a hand on Will's shoulder.

"Thanks, Will." Alison said. She glanced over at the Doctor, he seemed more tense than usual, his hand was shaking a little as he held onto his glass with a near crushing grip. "You alright?" she asked him. "Fine, yes." he said in a not-fine voice.

"Just a bit dizzy, that's all. I'll be fine." he repeated, walking out of the room to get some air. The Master, who was on the other side of the room, essentially brooding in the corner, decided to follow. The Doctor, once out of sight, leaned against the wall, gripping it like a seasick man clutches at the ground. He breathed heavily, a pounding in his ears, twin heartbeats faster than they should be.

"You're being silly, Doctor." Andrella giggled, watching him dance. "Obviously. Now come on, dance with me!" he held out a hand. "Doctor, you can't waltz to 21st century Earth Pop. Put on some Venusian Chamber Jazz, it's a much better beat." she smiled at him. The Doctor came up to her, lifting Andrella off the chair she was sitting in and twirling her around, the two resolved to dancing despite the beat.

The gun was placed in his hand. The Doctor brought it up, fired, and failed to develop a hole in his head. The Doctor held the gun limply in his hand for a moment, and thought of just pulling the trigger again. He was actually stiffening his wrist to do it when the Master reached out and took the revolver away. "My turn," said the Master. He leveled the gun at the Doctor, pressed it tight against the middle of his forehead. The Doctor's eyes crossed briefly as he tried to look at the gun, and then he gave up and just looked in the Master's eyes, right into the cold mechanical eyes that he had designed. "Do it," said the Doctor. The Master pulled the trigger. The hammer clicked on an empty chamber. The Doctor blinked in surprise as the Master dropped the gun and pushed back his chair. "Six shots," said the Master, standing up. "We're finished." he commanded. "There was a bullet," said the Doctor, dully. "I loaded it before we began." he said, dumbfounded. "I palmed it after the first shot," said the Master. He produced the cartridge from a pocket, held it between thumb and forefinger before concealing it again. "In any case, I've won. Please stop moping, as per our agreement." he said exasperatedly. The Doctor just stared at the table as the Master walked away. His hand touched the gun, but it was useless now and he was still aware enough to know that the Master would be hiding what little loose ammunition there might be on the TARDIS. The phone was ringing. He really did need a drink.

"I will save her, no matter what the paradox, no matter what the Council says!" the Doctor shouted at the console, taking off. He wouldn't let Andrella die couldn't. He had promised to keep.

"My dear, focus on me." the Master said calmly. "Who… me….. you…." the Doctor murmured. "I am the Master. You are the Doctor. We are at the delightful Mrs. Cheney's wedding. Do you remember this? " he asked. "Yes, I…" the Doctor trailed off. "You're not fine. Let me help you,I'm the doctor here, now." the Master ordered, cupping the Doctor's cheek in his or hand and kissing him until the taller man calmed down. "Better?" he asked. "Better." the Doctor said weakly. "Then let us return to our dear Mrs. Cheney." he said, walking down the hall, then stopping and turning around. "Your lips are dry, drink more water." he advised, then walked back into the celebration hall. "Bloody Master, ruining the moment like that… but of course he would…. total mopey wanker… that is so him…" the Doctor muttered to himself as he walked back into the reception.

Will and Nico talk happily with Joe and Alison, before Nico hunches over. "Headache again?" Will asks gently. Nico shakes his head. "Just dad trying to get my attention." He replies softly, sighing quietly. "I think I might need to return to hell once we get back to camp. The dead are getting… Restless to say the least." He explains this in Greek so he didn't freak Joe out about the whole underworld thing. Will nods. "It's her anniversary in a week right?" Nico nods. "She's with the Stars now…"

"What are they talking about?" Joe asked Alison. "It's a demigod thing. Did I mention they were demigods? Oh yeah, and you know how I went on a trip to Wales last year? And how I was back with most of my luggage gone and or otherwise destroyed? I wasn't actually in Wales, it was morelikethewholeoftimeandspacewiththeDoctorandhisrobot." Alison said quickly. "Oh look, I gotta go, haha, need to take care of a thing, see you in a minute sweetie!" she said before dashing off. "What the…." Joe muttered, trying to process what Alison had just said.

(Oh, it's totally fine. I can understand, moving can be incredibly chaotic. How are you, I missed you!)

"Okay, tell me something was put in my drink. Speaking of which, I think I need one right now." Joe muttered, walking away. "Ah, humans. So entertaining." the Master chuckled, watching the exchange from afar. The Doctor came up behind him. "You weren't thinking of hypnotism, were you now darling?" he said dryly, picking up a glass of champagne from a nearby table and downing it in a quick gulp. "My dear, I'm offended you'd suggest such a thing. I'm merely partaking in festivities like any normal person would." the Master mock gasped. "I wouldn't put it past you." the Doctor murmured darkly. "I wouldn't put it past me either, but I'm not intending to do so. I've not had much practice as of late either, it might not-" "Come off it. I know you haven't turned good all of a sudden, I've even had to set safeguards to keep you from hurting anyone. You're still your dastardly, manipulative, insufferable old self no matter what the situation, and we both know that. People don't change that easily. Good day, Master." the Doctor interrupted. He then strolled over to Will and Nico, corners of mouth twitched upwards in a small smile. "So, where has our blushing bride ran off to?" he asked, his cheerfulness a little childish in the moment.

Will was tending to Nico as he looked up. "Ah. Hello doctor. I'm not sure entirely." He chuckles a little before looking at Nico with concern. Nico was tapping his lip in thought.

"Hmm. I see. Well, how have you two been? Might as well catch up now, seeing as the dancing hasn't started yet and I haven't got much better to do." he said, repeatedly flicking his eyes back over to the Master, making sure he wasn't getting into any trouble. But it seemed his companion was simply sitting over in the corner, sulking. He always sulks. It made him tremendously boring at the Academy. Except when… well, never mind. the Doctor thought, then turned his attention back to Will and Nico. "You know, with your… ah, camp. And things." he said.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Will beams. "It has been a while, hasn't it? Things are okay, I suppose. The Romans and the Greeks aren't trying to kill each other anymore, less monsters are attacking camp, we've met Sadie and Carter, who are Egyptian magicians, Magnus, Annabeths Norse cousin. It's been a wild ride."

"Hmm. Well, I've been pretty busy as well. Had a bit of fun, you know. Travelled about, did this and that. Got into trouble. You know me. It was brilliant. I saw the Phosphorous Carousel of the Great Magellan Gestalt, saved a planet from the Red Carnivorous Maw, named a galaxy Alison, after Alison. She'll probably hate me if she finds out. Oh, and I happened to have gotten married. That was a mistake. And also an accident. Good Queen Bess. And let me tell you, her nickname is no longer-Ahem. Sorry, I'm rambling now." the Doctor said. "Actually, how does one divorce a medieval Earth queen? I mean, you're humans, you ought to know something." he said quickly.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Will and Nico look at the Doctor, listening to him talk with a smile on their lips. "Well… It really depends. Some won't take no for an answer." Will warns.
