The sun drove night away, color the sky with brilliant colors of orange. Bane distinguished the fire oddly. He stomped on it, flames lapping at his leg. Digging a small hole, he buried the part of the deer they didn’t eat. He stretched, motioning for Kin and Ember to move forward. “We need to get a move on. Obelisk will be on the move throughout the day.” Fear knotted in his stomach. Possibilities of Obelisk striking a deal with his father terrified the young hound. After all, he didn’t want to go back. He didn’t want to be beaten. With a sigh, Bane assessed the clearing. When nothing jumped out at him, he started his trek. Rushing water was near. They could cross the water. Even though the day just started, he felt they were already on a time crunch.

Ember woke up slowly squinting her eyes at the bright ray of light coming from the sun she sat up a bit, kid's arms stopping from moving any further she rubbed her eyes and looked at the blue haired boy fondly before lightly tapping his shoulder, she would have stayed in the warm embrace but she wasn't sure if they were in danger, bane was moving too fast for her liking and it scared her.

Kin blinks and looks to Bane, then to Ember. He smiles warmly and stands, helping her up. “Come on. We have to keep up after all.” He follows Bane, taking Embers hand as he walked. Even with his long stride, he still adjusted his pace so Ember could keep up.

Ember stood with him taking kin's hand as he started to walk and she looked around at their surroundings, ember looked behind them worry on her face before she turned her attention back to the path ahead. "Where exactly are we going? "

Bane comes across a river, sniffing the air. Trouble. Something was coming for them. The scent was hellhound. Fuck. A growl escaped his throat and he turned to the others. Worry rounded the bottom of his eyes, his eyes twitching. Butterflies fluttered around his stomach, flying up to his throat. "To my friend's house, but we need to get running. It's important. I-I don't want any of us getting hurt." He bolted, running through the rushing river. Water splashed up around him, soaking his person. He kicked up mud from the bottom, turning the water brown. But soon, it was going to turn red.

A giant hellhound with scares across its muzzle appeared on the other side of the river. It growled at Bane, its eyes red. He swallowed harshly, stopping in his tracks. He stared the hound down, fear emitting from him. Bane knew who this was. "F-father." His voice shook. The hound charged Bane, leaping onto the tall boy.

Kin yelps, instinctively pushing Bane and Ember out of the way and taking the blow. His skin had already regained its hardness. But it still wasn’t strong enough for this. He hisses at the hound, “There is no need to do this!” He whines, trying to push the hound away.

Kin always hated conflict, but if it was to save his new found family, he’d do anything.

Ember couldn't even react before the was along into the ragging waters going under for a moment because she was unfamiliar with water, she came back up to see the other hellhound on kin and panic consumed her and before she knew what was happening she had shifted into her wolf form she paused for a moment before leaping onto the hound and snapping at his face and neck grazing him a few times, she looked more intimidating in this form than her human form, she was much bigger and much more scruffy. It's unclear if she was actually strong or if this was just adrenaline but she gave him a small bit of a fight.

Cerberus landed on the small boy, growling at him. Picking Kin up by the scruff of his neck, he tossed him across the clearing. Bane poked his head up, staring at his father. The hound grew closer. Its hot breath seeped down Bane's neck, starting at the exposed flesh. Cerberus snarled, placing a large paw on Bane's head, pushing him under the water. Bane struggled from breath, fighting against the large creature. He placed his hands around Cerberus' neck, digging his claws into the flesh. Cerberus lifted his paw up, and Bane came up for air. However, Cerberus bit Bane neck. Blood poured out of the puncture wounds. He lifted the shocked hound up, throwing him across the clearing and into the river. Then he focused on Ember, shaking her off of him. He snapped at her face, holding her underwater. Cerberus shifted, letting go of Ember, laughing to himself as he looked at the pathetic group.

Cerberus was 6'7 with shaggy black hair and brown eyes. He had strange markings on his face and scars populated his face. "Oh please children. This is quite necessary." Bane whimpered in pain, and Cerberus stalked over to the hound. "Still pathetic as ever, aren't you, son." He punched Bane in the face.

Kin yelps as he skidded across the grass. He quickly scrambles up. He stares at the man for a moment, slowly growing more and more angry as he looked at the man. No one would hurt his friends. No one.

Kin growls and lunges to the man, digging his sharp nails into his neck and picking the man up with ease. “Don’t you dare hurt my friends.” He snarls.

This was very unusual for Kin to lash out this way. His kind was all about peace and having connections. Not being angry and vengeful. But something snapped in Kin when he saw Bane bleeding.

Ember struggled under Cerberus's grasp she had shifted back taking in quite a bit of water as she tried to get out the hounds grasp scratching at his arm causing him to bleed, barely had enough energy to raise her head out of the water coughing and sputtering up water as she to take in a breath. She wasn't used to fighting and being flung around caused her fragile bones to become quite painful to apply pressure to. She tried to make her way to the edge of the river but was having problems because of the current.

(Not me thinking Kin was small, but turns out to be 7 FEET TALL XD)

Bane whimpered. Pain spread throughout his entire face, small tears well in his swelling eye. He snarled at his father, reaching up to plant his claws into his neck. Cerberus merely dug his claws into Bane's wrist, making the hound whine in pain. Cerberus chuckled, watching his pathetic child before being attacked by Kin. He hissed, withering in Kin's grasp. "I do as I please, you traitors." He kicked Kin in the chest, trying to get out of Kin's grasp. Bane dragged himself to the bank of the river, gasping and spitting out blood. He shook with pain, glancing at Ember. He reached out for Ember, but couldn't reach her.

(XD yup!)

Kin snarls, the blow not seeming to affect him. “You are the traitor here. Selling your own kind. May the gods punish you for your actions.” He slams Cerberus onto the ground, then pinks him up again, repeating this action over and over again. He wasn’t going to kill him. No. His kind wasn’t the ones to do that. What Kin would do, is leave the man unconscious out in the woods and let Mother Nature deal with this terrible man.
