Vaughn’s face flushed a light shade of red as he thought about how Kaz would look in just those clothes. “I’m not the person you should be asking,” he muttered, a slight stammer in his tone. He turned his head away partly, taking a quick swing of his beer. Oh, he had missed alcohol so much.
“Aw, c’mon Vaughn. Use that big imagination of yours,” Kaz chuckled. Cas made a face of disgust at Kaz before walking away, leaving Kaz smirking widely as he took a bite of his burger. “Probably wouldn’t have an occasion to dress up like that though. I’m a tattoo artist, not a stripper, so I’d need a relationship for something like that.”
Thorn sighed in relief, "Yeah, I hate it when others rep on people just loving who they want. It makes me feel awful and I want to do something."
"Same here," she nodded. "It's crazy how people think they can dictate who others can love. It's not really a choice or anything."
Thorn looked to Lana and smiled. She was glad they felt the same way, "I know. I believe it's your turn."
"Right." Lana thought for a second. "What kind of music do you like?"
Thorn thought for a moment, "I like alternate, rock, or rap music."
"Nice. I like alternative and rap too. Indie's my favorite." She smiled. "I also love showtunes."
Vaughn groaned when Kaz told him to use his imagination. His imagination was offering him a lot more than that. He rubbed at his face for a moment, trying to will away the redness in his cheeks. “Yeah, you wish,” he said, tipping back his beer and quickly drinking the last bit of it.
Thorn's eyes lit up, "What type of showtunes?"
"All kinds," she replied, "basically every broadway show. My favorite right now is Anastasia."
Thorn sighed, "I haven't heard a showtune in ages. What's popular right now? Do you know?"
"Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and Anastasia are the heavy hitters on the internet," Lana replied. "Mean Girls just started. Spongebob the Musical. Hmmm… I'll have to put together a list."
Thorn nodded, "Mean Girls is a good musical. I haven't heard of Hamilton or Dear Evan Hansen before. What are they about?"
"You haven't heard of…" Lana shook her head. "Okay, brief synopsis, but we're also going to listen to their soundtracks sometime soon. Hamilton is about Alexander Hamilton and the founding fathers, and Dear Evan Hansen is about a kid with social anxiety who gets caught in an elaborate lie."
Thorn smiled sheepishly, "They both sound really good. though the Hamilton one sounds like a bit of a bore. But maybe it's really good and I'm judging too quickly."
"No, no, Hamilton is the best one," she said quickly. "It tells a really good story through some really clever songs and lyrics. I mean, a musical with rap, hip hop, and the founding fathers? It's fantastic."
Kaz grinned at the redness in his cheeks. “Hell, I might just become a pole dancer just to see your face when I come out in lingerie or some shit,” he laughed, taking a sip of his beer before returning to his burger
"Okay, that does sound awesome," Thorn had a lopsided grin, "Any other questions?"
"What's your favorite movie?" she asked.
Thorn looked at her, "I like Harry Potter. Or How To Train Your Dragon!"
"Yes to both!" Lana said with a grin. "Have you seen How to Train Your Dragon 2?"
“Joke’s on you, I refuse to go anywhere near a strip club or whatever,” Vaughn said before taking a bite of his burger. He chewed slowly, knee boucing as he tried to concentrate on his food and not how Kaz would look as a stripper.
Thorn looked at her excitedly, "There's a second one?!"
"And I will add that to the list of movies we must watch on Netflix," Lana laughed. She quieted for a moment, and then asked, "Are you ever allowed to leave? Like, at night?"
“But you would go to the bar right below my apartment,” Kaz said, wiggling his eyebrows playfully as he finished his burger. He took a sip of his beer, smirking lightly as he realized how flustered Vaughn seemed to be
