Out of the corner of his eye, Pierce his wallet being thrown to the ground, "Hey what the hell? You can't go around stealing money from others you assho-" he looked up and stopped, "Starla?!" He picked up his wallet and blocked her way, "Hey, can I have my money back please?"
"What money?" She asked casually, side stepping him. She then grabbed a basket and kept walking, smoothly, coolly, calm. She then headed to where all the cheap microwavable stuff was, and got Cup-O-Noodles and other microwavable, easy, unhealthy foods.
Pierce cursed to himself, following her. He grabbed her wrist lightly and tugged her back, "Come on, Starla…I know you have my money so please just give it back."
"I need it. You aren't living like I do, I can already tell. You have things like credit cards and insurance. Taking cash from a poor person, and I'm the asshole for just doing what I need to do to survive and live. I've been wearing the same outfit for 3 days straight without washing it, and this is the only outfit I own, are ya really gonna do this to me?"
Pierce faltered for moment and took a step back, "Listen, just give it back and I'll give some money, okay?" He bargained, gently, "I don't have a ton on me, nor do I have my credit card at the moment, but I can give you…say 50? And I'll pull more from my card if you need it."
"50 will do." She takes 50 from the wad, hands the rest back, and walks off into the store, shaking her head a bit. (They both end up going to like A LOT of the same places in the store as well and when she tries to avoid him she just sees him MORE often and it's just really pissing her off)
(Sounds good, how about a time skip to later that night next day?)
Pierce sighed and mumbled a thank you as Starla walked off, I wish I understood her more.. he thought to himself as he finished getting his groceries.
(After a little bit of really frustrated Starla when she finally gives up shopping cause she doesn't want to see his face and walks off. Don't worry, they'll become friends) She eventually stomped off, leaving her cart behind. "Fuck it, I'll just do it LATER."
(Aaaand cueing time skip)
Pierce sat in his swivel chair later that night and sighed, a frown on his face. He had seen Starla just about everywhere, a crazy coincidence, and she just got more angered every time. She really doesn't seem to like me, does she? he thought, Even so, I might as well go talk to her…maybe I could invite her to dinner to make up even more for what happened at the grocery store this morning… He rose from the chair, grabbed his wallet and stuffed it in his pocket and left, instantly heading to Starla's. He hesitated as he was a bout to knock, but he quickly overcame his hesitation and knocked.
Starla came to the door. She looked at you, sighed grumpily, and crossed her arms. "Whaddya want Pierce?" She said grumpily. She was in nothing but a bra and sweat pants. There was a beep as her ramen finished in the microwave, and she walked away to go get it.
A light blush came across Pierce’s face but he quickly shook it away, “Well…I was wondering if you wanted to come to dinner with me?” He asked, scratching the back of his head, “To um…make up for what happened at the grocery store this morning.”
"What, like a date? I don't even like ya all that much." She said as she set the ramen on top of the microwave and added the flavoring packet.
Pierce flinched but continued speaking, “No…not at all, just to make up for being rude to you.” He replied.
She sighed, and looked at her ramen. "Well…it was a waste making this then…" She threw it in a small trash bag, and got on a shirt. "I don't gotta dress up real nice or anything do I? I have a very limited selection of clothes."
A smile spread across Pierce’s face, “No, no, of course not. Casual clothing is perfectly fine.” He replied
"Good. Are we goin' out or what?" She asked as she pulled on some socks and her sneakers.
Pierce nodded, “Yeah let’s go! Where do you want to eat at?” He asked.
"Dunno." She shrugged, not really caring where they went. She grabbed her backpack, hid everything away, and shut the door.
“Okay, well…there’s a diner nearby, how about that?” Pierce suggested, looking at her for conformation.
"Sure." She shrugged, and walked alongside him.
"Great." Pierce responded and led her through the hall, down the stairs, and down into the streets, where they began to walk to the diner. After a few minutes of silence, Pierce looked over at Starla, "Umm, do you need me to get you money or anything? Take you shopping or something to make you feel a little bit more comfortable and so you don't have to wear the same everyday?" He asked. He was concerned about how she was living and truly wanted to make sure she had everything she needed. Pierce was always willing to help people, anytime, any place.
(Man I can't wait for them to start travelling together and begin to fall in love, it'll be awesome. I have really high hopes for how this role play turns out)
(YES ME TOO!) "I ain't no fucking charity case, and I have a VERY limited amount of items I can take with me. It all must fit in my bag, for when I skip town onto the next place. "And I have ways of gettin' cash always, so bugger off." She retorts as she walks along, then sets down her bag, pulls on her hoodie, and zips it up again, returning to walking.
Pierce frowned, "Sorry," he replied, "I didn't mean to offend you." He stepped a few steps ahead of Starla towards the door of the diner and opened it for her.
"Thanks." She walked through the door of the diner, combing her fingers through her hair, still trying to look a little bit presentable.
