@Natasha
Cameron gave her an exaggerated smile. "Why thank you Princess Madeline." He said she he was in, giving her and exaggerated and flourished bow.
Cameron gave her an exaggerated smile. "Why thank you Princess Madeline." He said she he was in, giving her and exaggerated and flourished bow.
Madeline rolled her eyes and snorted. She was thrown into another coughing fit, and she leaned against the kitchen's island for support.
Cameron reached out and picked Madeline up without difficulty and carried her to her living room.
"I'm–cough–I'm fine," Madeline choked out, swatting at Cameron's shoulder as he carried her. "You can–cough–put me down–cough. I've got soup on the stove."
"I'll get it then." He said as he set her down on the couch. "Do. Not. Get. Up." He said as he walked back into the kitchen.
(Le hi)
(Hey, yeah, hi! I'm here!
I was working.
Crud, I was going to respond to this this morning…)
Madeline sighed and leaned back into the couch. There would be no changing Cameron's mind, now, she was sure, so there was no point in fighting it.
She sneezed, then groaned and rubbed her sore throat.
(Lol it's fine)
Cameron walked back into the living room and set some water and a bowl of soup in front of her. He looked at her worriedly.
"I'm fine," Madeline rasped, rolling her eyes at Cameron's expression. "Thanks for the soup, though."
Cameron rolled his eyes back. "No, you're not. And you're welcome. Is there anything else I can do for you?"
Madeline sighed and side-eyed him. "Not get sick?"
"I'm not going to get sick Madeline." Cameron answered reassuringly.
"You can't promise that," Madeline shot back, giving him a look. "If you did, and you got sick, then you'd break that promise. You wouldn't want to break a promise to your best friend, would you?"
Cameron smiled. "No, of course not. But I'm not going to get sick, okay?"
Madeline shrugged. "If you say so…" she trailed off as she picked up the bowl of soup and held it in her lap. Pulling her knees up close to her chest, she let the bowl rest on top of them and picked up the spoon to start eating her soup.
Cameron watched Madeline for a few moments before walking back into the kitchen.
"Watcha doin'?" Madeline called after Cameron, watching him walk to the kitchen.
"Getting something." He called back.
"Hm," Madeline hummed to herself before going back to eating her soup.
Cameron smiled and shook his head before walking back into the living room with strawberry ice cream in hand. "Why don't we have a Marvel marathon?" He said as he put the ice cream by Madeline. "It's much funner than going out for lunch anyways."
"'Funner' isn't a word, Cam," Madeline pointed out with a small smile. "A Marvel marathon sounds good. You're not allowed to eat all my ice cream, though. You know that's my favorite."
"….Fine. It's much more fun than going out for lunch. And I promise I won't eat all your ice cream." He said, putting his hands up in surrender as he sat down beside her and picked up the remote.
Madeline nodded her approval. "Good. Otherwise, I'll make sure to cough on you so that you do get sick," she teased.
Cameron put a hand over his heart. "You. Wouldn't."
"You wouldn't eat all of my ice cream," Madeline said, raising her eyebrows at Cameron challengingly.
