(Ain't that right!
Sorry, my heart just broke because of the S.5 finale of AOS.)
Madeline sat down on the couch, patting the space next to her for Cameron to sit in.
Cameron sat down next to Madeline nervously.
"I'll go first." Christopher announced, ready to exact his revenge on Cameron and Madeline.
"All right," Madeline said, shooting Cameron a smile. This should be interesting…
(…..I am no good with dares what should Chris's dare be and for whom?)
(Well, he never actually said "Truth or Dare, to begin with. Lol. Maybe start with that?
And you can pick whomever you wish.)
Christopher turned to Madeline. "Madeline. Truth or Dare?"
"Uh…" Crud, I forgot that I can be picked… Well, better o with something safe, then. "Truth," Madeline decided.
Christopher thought for a moment. "Hmm…..did you enjoy having Cameron visit you while you were sick?" He asked.
Madeline smiled. Well, that's an easy enough question to answer.
"Of course. He is my best friend, after all," she replied. "My turn, now… Bailey, Truth or Dare?"
"Dare!" Bailey exclaimed quickly.
"I dare you…" Madeline trailed off as she thought for a moment. "…to drink a tablespoon of hot sauce, and then not drink any water for a whole minute, at least."
Bailey's eyes lit up and Cameron smacked his forehead. Bailey ran out and came back with hotsauce, a tablespoon, and a water bottle. She put the water bottle in her lap and handed Bethany her phone to time her. She quickly ate the tablespoon of hotsauce, keeping a neutral expression on her face.
A minute later Bethany shouted, "Time!" and Bailey chugged the entire water bottle.
"Aw, c'mon, Bailey! Seriously?" Madeline stared at her friend in shock.
Bailey smiled triumphantly. "My turn! Cameron, Truth or Dare?"
"Uuhh…." Cameron looked over at Madeline with a look that clearly said, "SAVE ME"
Madeline shrugged, biting back a grin. "You're on your own this time."
"Uuhhh……Dare?" He said uncertainly.
"I dare you to……have Madeline sit on your lap until you get asked again." Cameron's eyebrows shot up.
"Wait, how is that a dare for him?" Madeline asked, her eyebrows furrowing. She struggled to keep the blush down that threatened to brighten her cheeks. "That seems like more if a dare for me, honestly."
"Trust me, it's not." Bailey said, shooting Cameron a look. Cameron but his lip, struggling not to blush or laugh. He sighed. "Maddi…"
Madeline sat unmoving for a moment before walking the two steps to where Cameron was sitting. She gave him a wry smile before taking her newly-assigned seat in his lap. Her expression was unreadable as she looked around at her friends, waiting for Cam to ask the next person.
Cameron took a deep breath then decided, "Iris. Truth or dare?"
"Hmm…..I'll go with…..Truth." She answered.
"Iris, do you like Jeremy?" Cameron asked mischievously.
Without skipping a beat, Iris replied. "Yes, yes I do. But he knows that already." Jeremy nodded, laughing as Cameron gave the two a confused look.
"What exactly happened when you two were with Casey??"
"We talked, Casey practically shoved us together……so yeah blame him." Jeremy replied.
"What? Seriously?" Madeline exclaimed, grinning. "Well, that's great, you guys!"
Iris snickered. "Thank you. And now it's my turn…"
(Do you want to timeskip a little to their turns again?)
(Sure.)
Madeline sighed. She had just been dared to go the rest of the game with her eyes closed, so she had closed her eyes and was now (not-so-)patiently waiting for the game to end. Why had she suggested Truth or Dare in the first place?
"Okay, Jeremy, I dare you to go the rest of the night without talking to Iris," she said, smirking even though she couldn't see anyone.
Jeremy gasped. "How dare you."
Cameron laughed. "Nice Mads."
Jeremy whipped around to Cameron. "CAMERON I DARE YOU TO KISS MADELINE."
Cameron blushed. "Uh…what?" He said nervously.
Madeline's eyes shot open at the dare, and she stared at Jeremy.
"Okay, for one, he didn't get to pick truth or dare, so that's not even fair; and two, what the heck?!?"
Jeremy shrugged. "Yes I know I didn't ask but he always asks for dare I bet he didn't realize I could dare him to do this but I have so I win."
Cameron flushed a deep red.
Madeline opened and closed her mouth a few times, unsure of what to say. Eventually, she turned around to face Cameron, a slightly confused expression on her face. Why would Jeremy even dare him to do that? They were best friends, that's it… Right?
"Cam?" she whispered.
"Uhhmm…" Cameron stuttered. Thanks a lot Jeremy…. He thought as he looked at Madeline.
He didn't even know what he was supposed to do in this situation!
"Is there… something going on that I don't know about? Why… why did he say that?" Madeline asked, so softly she wasn't even sure if Cameron would hear it.
Why would he dare him to do that? Why would Cameron kiss me?
Wait… Jeremy didn't specify where to kiss me…
Cam could totally just kiss my cheek!"Cam. Just kiss my cheek," she said quietly enough that the others wouldn't be able to hear.
Cameron gently kissed Madeline's cheek and sat back down. "You never specified." He told Jeremy.
Madeline smiled, a light, somewhat nervous laugh coming through. Now that was close.
Jeremy and Iris's mouths dropped open. They couldn't believe Cameron had dodged their throw again. The others just kind of….sat there in shock.
Madeline turned back around to face the others, biting back a laugh when she saw their expressions.
"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I think I've had enough Truth or Dare for the day. What'd'ya say we pick something else to play? Or, like, watch a movie or something?" she suggested.
Cameron quickly agreed, and the others finally consented.
"So what do we want to watch?" Bethany asked.
"Hm… What about an old kids' movie?" Madeline suggested.
"Like what?" Violet asked curiously.
Madeline thought for a moment.
"We could watch… The Lion King?"
Cameron nodded. "Yeah let's watch that!"
Everyone else quickly agreed.
"Cool!"
At the end of the movie, everyone looked over at Cameron and Madeline. Madeline had fallen asleep on Cameron's shoulder.
"Dude. How? How are you two still not together?" Christopher asked.
Cameron blushed and shrugged.
Madeline woke up at the shrug, blinking a few times. She saw everyone staring at her and blushed slightly, then lifted her head and turned to Cameron.
"Sorry," she murmured.
Cameron shook his head. "It's fine Maddi."
Iris raised her eyebrow. "Come on guys, let's give them a minute."
Everyone quickly left, leaving Cameron and Madeline alone in the living room.
(I'll post the next parts in a bit.)
Madeline watched the others leave, curious about their intentions and even a bit worried. If they were leaving them alone together for the reason that she thought, she was a little nervous. Was it really that obvious?
Cameron frowned as they left, then he turned to Madeline with a curious glance.
Madeline shrugged. "They're acting really strange today, aren't they?"
Cameron nodded nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
"So… You're awfully quiet…" Madeline mused, biting her lip.
Cameron shrugged. "There's…not much to say."
Madeline nodded slowly.
"Okay," she whispered. Maybe they weren't left alone for the reasons she thought…
Cameron sighed and rubbed the back of his head again, contemplating what he was going to say.
"Well… I'm going to get a glass of water. I'll, uh, be right back," Madeline said, moving to stand.
Cameron stopped her as she started out the door. "Wait." He said softly.
Madeline turned to face Cameron, a questioning look in her eyes.
"Yeah, Cam?"
Cameron sighed and pulled Madeline down on the couch beside him. "Madeline…" He started.
"Cameron," Madeline playfully mocked him. "What, Cam?"
