"Hey, Bailey," Madeline laughed as she hugged her friend back. "How are you?"
"Hey, Bailey," Madeline laughed as she hugged her friend back. "How are you?"
"Pretty good, I got to blow up some stuff so that's always fun. And you?"
"Bailey… What did you do this time?" Madeline asked, pulling away and looking her friend in the eye.
"Hey! I got permission this time!" She defended.
"If you say so…" Madeline trailed off disbelievingly.
"I….did give her permission…." Cameron admitted.
Madeline spun around and stared at Cameron incredulously. "Cam! Why?"
"….Because…..uuhhh…" Cameron rubbed the back of his head. "We needed to blow something up…??"
"What in the world could you possibly have needed to blow up?" Madeline questioned.
"Uhh…."
"A TREE!" Jeremy put in before anyone could say anything. "Just a tree."
"Oookaaaay…" Madeline said, looking around at all of them, questions in her eyes.
Iris shrugged. "What can we say? You missed a lot."
Madeline frowned slightly. "I hate being sick," she muttered under her breath.
Christopher laughed.
"Aaaalright, Maddi you wanna see upstairs?" Cameron asked, changing the subject.
"Sure," Madeline sighed, forcing a smile onto her face. She felt like she had missed so much while she was sick, and she hated it. She hated herself for feeling that way, too, because it seemed selfish of her.
Cameron lead Madeline up the stairs to the attic. "Tada!" He exclaimed, showing off his work proudly.

"Oh, wow…" Madeline breathed when she saw what they had done. "Wow, Cam… That's… Wow."
Cameron laughed. "Like it?"
"Uh-huh." Madeline nodded, walking farther in. "You guys did an amazing job."
"Why thank you." Cameron replied, giving and exaggerated bow.
Madeline shot him a wide smile before turning back to the room. "How long did this take you guys?"
"About a week, I got some….help…..from an….older friend."
"Oh? Who was that?" Madeline asked, facing Cameron with a curious look on her face.
"An old friend of my dad's, actually. Casey Cobek."
"Cool." Madeline nodded. "So… We should probably get back down to our friends, yeah?"
