Beatriz narrows her eyes slightly. "I can't tell you. What if you try to buy it for me?" She asks, raising an eyebrow delicately.

"Fine…. I won't buy you ice cream this time… "
He says suddenly grabbing her hand and walking down the pathway to the shop.

Beatriz smiles, enjoying the feel of her hand in his. As soon as they reach the shop, she turns to him. "Okay, now you have to tell me. What flavor do you want?"

Ryuu looks at all of the flavors up there, then his face lights up.
"Cotton candy!"
He said turning to her with an excited smile on his face.
"Here I'll pay for the extra scoop, because I'm definitely getting one of those!"
He says with a smile digging in his wallet and pulling out a few 100s

Beatriz lightly smacks him on the arm. "Put away your money, you dork, I told you, I'm paying." She tells him, turning to the woman behind the counter. "One double scoop cotton candy, and a single scoop cookie dough," she orders politely.

Ryuu quickly puts the money away, his face a little red. Getting distracted by how delicious it looked at the lady was scooping the ice cream, he forgot about her paying.
When the lady gives them their ice cream he reaches for his wallet but quickly stopping, afraid she was going to hit him again. (Lol)

Pulling out a 20 dollar bill instead of a hundred like hecking Ryuu who just likes to show off, Beatriz pays for the ice cream and turns to Ryuu. "Where do you want to go?"

(Btw Ryuu accidentally did that, he DESPISES showing off but ok)

He outs a mental note in his mind before replying.
"Well we could always eat it on the beach!"
He said with a smile taking a bite of his ice cream.

(IK IT WAS A JOKE ARGH)
Beatriz nods, shrugging. "Sure," she says, leading the way out of the shop.

(Pfft I know I'm just messin)

Ryuu walking out of the shop, looking around, whilst overthinking the tiniest things ever.
Should I eat my ice cream ob the way there? No… I should eat it with her in the water. But what if it melts? Yeah, I should eat it… Wait no! Because then I won't be any to eat it with her on the beach, so instead of talking and us both eating ice cream, I'll just be sitting there awkwardly with no ice cream. What will I do en? Will I just awkwardly stare at her while my legs are crossed with my hands in my lap? Do a fiddle my fingers? Do i do a dance to earn her trust??? Oh, i got it! Just don't eat the ice cream…. Melted ice cream it is!
He thinks to himself almost crying of indecisiveness on the inside

Popping up, looking at Maverick.
"I think I got a little sunburnt…. th-that's why my face is red…. yeah"
She said to him, still stuttering.
"Um… do you know how to swim?"
She says realizing his other sentence and changing the subject.

"Mhm, sunburn," he smirks, unconvinced. Maverick's eyes trace to the water, where his hands are swishing and gliding. "I was never taught," he shrugs, "which ended up working against me. But I'm too afraid to try." His insides twist with the confession, hearing the lameness in his excuse.

Beatriz gives Ryuu a confused look, then takes his hand and leads the way toward the beach. "Are you going to eat that?" She asks, raising an eyebrow amusedly.

CC laughs a little then looks Maverick in the eye,
"I have a mission for you tonight"
She backs away from him the pointing at him, her index finger touching his nose. Backing away so she would hit him in the face still holding his hand with her other hand.
"Learn how to swim… Probably videos… Yeah videos would be good"
She says as she smiles at him excitedly.

Ryuu laughing a tiny bit then taking a bit of his ice cream.
"I was going to wait- whatever yeah I'm eating it…."
He says not really noticing his hand in hers.

Maverick’s eyebrows shoot skyward as he protests, “Tonight? Like, by tonight or starting tonight or…?” He rambles on incoherently for a few minutes, the water twisting and contorting.

She grabbed both of his hands with hers under the water.
"Learning… You start to learn to swim tonight."

“Are you going to be my teacher?” He waggles his eyebrows, winking. Then the reality set in. “Tonight?! I’m learning tonight, wow.” A shudder crawls up his spine, but he’s already disappointed CC once. He wants to make it up to her.

"Yep! And trust me, once you know how, it feels like your flying. It's amazing."
She says with a cute smile then tightens her hand.
"And…ill be with you the whole time! And hey! I'm stronger than I look so I can save you!"
She says flexing her arm, which wasn't very much muscle but she seemed confident. And she knew if he was afraid of water, he probably almost drowned, or someone he's loved has drowned. So she wasn't going to let him drown.

He laughs, lacing his fingers through her hand, gently bringing it underwater again. “But are you strong enough to save me?” Maverick wasn’t even aware that he was joking about drowning, the thought didn’t cross his mind. All he wanted was to impress CC. With this thought in mind, the boy hooks an arm under the girl’s knees, lifting her out of the water princess style. He cradles her, sniggering.

CC to shocked to even say anything. Before she knew it she was in Maverick's arms. She felt like a princess, she felt special.
Her arms around his neck. She hops down facing him, her arms still around his neck, (on her tippy toes haha shorty cakes)
"Oh yeah! Do you know how strong I am?"
She says, her face turning a little red from there faces being so close to each other. Her heart started to flutter along with the butterflies in her stomach. Up close, he was, even more, breathe taking, finally daring to take a breathe, she looks into his green eyes. She never knew how much she loved green eyes until she saw him.

“But I’m so much taller than you,” he teases, nudging her nose with his. Mavericks lips curve upward as he sees her blushing. Eyes sparkling, he asks, “Sunburns come and go, huh?”

Her nose touching his felt weird…but great at the same time. She was so close to him, her heart started to race, and she was sure Maverick could feel it to. She could feel his heart. It was going a normal pace, calm and collected.
Like he always is.
"Well…. You…. It's probably time to go"
She says looking away, her lips pressed into a thin line.
what am i thinking?!

Ryuu laughing a tiny bit then taking a bit of his ice cream.

Beatriz laughs, shaking her head. "You are such a dork."

Ryuu looks at her panicky,
"Ah! I'm sorry!"
He said quickly taking another bite of his ice cream so he would apologize again. He knew everyone thought it was annoying. And he really didn't want to annoy Bee anymore than he has.

His heart was racing, eyes flitting to her face and away. “I… should..?” Maverick asks, staring at her face.
