“Actually it’s a private jet…but yeah it’s long.”
He smiles at the girl, her hand in his, little butterflies in his stomachs swirl around.
“Well um…do you want me to walk you to your dorm? Or…nah?”
He says calmly yet speepily, and in a way cute.
(I should but I won’t)
(Oof that's a mood)
"Yeah, that'd be great," Beatriz's answers, smiling. "But you - um, you don't have to if you don't want to. You look really tired," she says with mild amusement. Nervously, she runs a hand through her hair again.
Ryuu immediately straightens up and looks around the room then at the entrance wide-eyed.
"what im not tired! Here lets go to your room! I mean dorm… well whatever"
He nervously laughs, he was incredibly tired, but he wasn't about to let her see that, As they were walking down the hall, looking out the windows, he could tell this school had a lot of money put into it.
"so um….how was your day?"
He asks her trying to seem polite after he just said something that made him sound like a major perv.
ugh…. "lets go to your room!?" What even is that?! Am I insane?
He thinks to himself while cringing.
"Er, fine, I guess. I've never really had a last day of school before, and it's weird, cause…" she takes a breath, "I don't know. I'm just not used to feeling emotional about something like this," she laughs quietly, not picking up on Ryuu's awkwardness at all.
Ryuu letting out a quick (and very held in) sign if MAJOR relief, smiles, he looks down at their hands, which he was surprised he was still holding them. He didn't let go though, he wasn't going to unless she wanted him to.
"yeah it is a little wierd…. Tomorrow is our last day to be in town, and to pack… No school. I forgot about that…. So um are you all packed?"
He calmly asks her, trying to not be phased my the fact that he's holding her hand while he's walking her to her dorm.
"Yeah, I think. I'm sending most of my stuff back to my parents, because I really don't want 3 suitcases full of designer clothing. It's stupid and I hate it. It's going to be a summer full of oversized sweaters and athletic shorts for me," she said with a childish grin.
cute sense of style
Ryuu thought to himself while she talked. He liked fancy clothes, but he did love lazy day clothes to.
"well um, I was planning on going out to town tomorrow… I was planning on going alone… But I mean if you want."
He took a deep breath,
"would you like to come with me? I mean we could get ice cream or something? There's a park not far a away!"
He smiled nervously at the girl. He was relieved that she didn't seem to notice how awkward he was.
"Ooh, sounds fun! I absolutely love ice cream. And nature. As you've heard," she said awkwardly, smiling through the pain of being an embarrassment to herself. Whywhywhy do I have to be so awkward?
They arrive at her dorm room as he smiles at the thought of them getting ice cream together.
"nice! Well I'll see you tomorrow then! Goodnight!"
He slowly lets go of her hand, wanting to hold it more, regretting letting go as soon as he did.
Beatriz smiles softly. "Goodnight!" She says, opening her door and going inside her room. She waved goodbye at Ryuu shyly before closing the door.
"Night"
Ryuu waves at her before she heads inside.
Walking down the hall to his dorm, he sighs.
does this mean….a date?
He mumbles to himself happily and surprised. Once he reaches his dorm, he walks in and flops on his bed.
Once he's changed and washed his face, setting his phone and his watch on the desk next to his broken glasses, he quickly falls into a deep sleep.
"oh okay!"
She stands up and quickly grabs his hand.
"you're cute."
She says casually, then humming to herself looking around. His hand felt nice in her cold hand. Some if what looked like sparkles stuck to his hand while she held it. She looked down and quickly let go, grabbing it with another hand trying to wipe away the shimmering particles.
"ah I'm sorry…. So what should we do?"
The blush that appears on his cheek doesn't fade. "It's late," Maverick reluctantly observes, not finishing what the statement entails. The hand in his hand is comforting, by now, and he doesn't notice the sparkles.
"well, then we should probably get back to the dorms."
She says with a different tone of voice, the wind whistled through her hair reaching to her ears, like a lullaby.
She wanted to stay with him a little while more. She didn't know what this longing feeling was in her chest, but it was overwhelming inside of her, she looked down at her feet then back up at Maverick and smiled a little, her speckled eyes shining in the little light that they had. Tomorrow was packing day, which she had a lot of, then on the trip, she goes. She wondered if Maverick was going or not, she sure hoped so…
"Um… Are you…. going on the trip on Saturday?"
She asks him hopefully.
A grin curves up his mouth. "Eager, are we? But yes," he rumbles. He drapes his arm around her shoulders, tucking her in. He never wanted to let her go. Maverick adopts a leisurely pace, desperate to take his time with CC in his arms. The boy murmurs, "Where is the trip to?"
CC could hear his heart beating, so close to his chest, her face turning red. It was cozy though, she liked it and she felt as if she never wanted to leave. The butterflies still swirling in her stomach, she manages to push out a sentence.
"I don't know where it is exactly but I do know it an island, with beach houses and such… it's supposed to be really fun."
She wrapped her arms around him once again.
"It's cold….."
She mumbles to him, she could see her breath in the air, it was summer but tonight was particularly cold.
Her hair brushed out of her face, her hands clasped together, her arms around him. She felt so protected and secure.
Smirking, his arm tightens. The pair wanders through night, past brush and rose brambles, silhouetted against the moonlit path. In the coating of darkness, normally Maverick would've felt a paranoid eerie sense creep up his spine. But the warm presence at his side erased fear, doubt. Breaking the silence appears sacrilegious. They linger in front of the dorms, the boy coming to a complete stop. His eyes trail to the girl's, expressing emotions words can't convey.
(I like that description!)
She wanted to stay in his warm arms forever, until the end of time, she felt at home there. Normally she would freak out, she's never done well with men touching her, so why was he so different. She's been so hurt and abused in the past so…why did she trust him not to hurt her?
Standing in front of the school, five minutes till curfew, she didn't want to go in. The lights of each dorm rooms flickering off, everyone falling asleep.
She did want to sleep… But she didn't want to leave.
Walking into the school, walking to the dorm, they atop where the two dorms part, separating the boys and girls. She let's go, now not even half of a foot apart she looks up at his gorgeous green eyes. She loved his green eyes so much, she wished she had vibrant eyes, but they were just ghostly white. She wanted some contrast, that's why she wears such bright clothes, but they don't seem to do much.
"Hey…..I'm sorry… About earlier, I can be a little oblivious times."
She looks down the hall to her dorm room, then to the elevator. She was getting a little sleepy after all.
"It's alright," he assures, reluctantly letting his arm drop from encasing the girl. His eyes lock into hers, and peace washes over Maverick. Lightly, he brushes his lips over her angelic hair. "I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Okay….yeah!"
She runs her fingers through her hair, looking at his eyes, his gorgeous eyes, she felt like she could stare into them forever.
Glancing at the elevator behind her then back at him.
"well bye!"
She smiles at him sweetly, and with that… She ran up at the stairs, gone.
Shes never actually done anything like this, going out with someone, staying up with someone so late… having these feelings for someone. What in the world was happening to her?
ugh… I kind of wish I had a roommate to talk about this….
She thinks to herself, for some reason flustered. Once she gets in her dorm she looks at her suitcase, clothes piled everywhere.
"oh… I forgot about that."
(Yep! Do you wanna do it? I can though)
(Here I'll do this final post then you can time skip… to the morning of the school vacation thing?)
A dazed look falls into his green eyes, feet stumbling over one another as Maverick heads to his dorm. He topples onto the mattress, being cushioned in an awkward position. Two suitcases remain on the dorm floor, and with a flick of the lights, he's out.
(I love Maverick lol)
It was the morning of the trip, they had to get up at 4 in the morning in order to catch the jet. Everyone was packed and ready to go, except for CC. She had spent the entire day and night packing last night, so she didn't get up on time. After finally getting up, missing the little meeting and meeting everyone who was going, she hurried to the bus in front of the campus. With her huge suitcase, she ran to the bus, her hair flying everywhere, still in an incredibly messy bun, she had actually gotten dressed but she had no time to even wash her face, which she could go at least one day without doing so, her face was perfectly clear. Hopping on the bus, she spots An empty seat near the front of the bus. Sitting down in the single chair, she looked around, spotting Maverick, and Ryuu sitting next to each other. And to her surprise, they looked like they were getting along… Well, they weren't saying a single word, so that's probably why. She looks back at the boys, smiling with a quick, cute little wave then turning back around as soon as the bus started. If was off to the airport they go.
It was intensely uncomfortable, being seated to Ryuu. His face tints an embarrassing shade of scarlet at her wave, made even more prominent by the thought that Ryuu had witnessed the entire ordeal. Feeling childish, Maverick waves back. It's hard not to grin at her disheveled appearance. Last night went so much better than the awkward dinner he had planned, the boy muses. Head pressed against the window, he warily eyes the still dark campus. Terrible, to make students wake up at 4am. Absolutely unholy.
Beatriz boards the plane nervously, looking around for Lure. She isn't sure why she's so nervous; it's not like this is her first time on a plane. She's just not used to riding a plane with friends who might actually talk to her.
