He chuckles, feigning a glare at her 'gentleman' comment. "Lead the way, flower," Maverick allows, a genuine smile creeping up his face. Earlier sadness was forgotten, everything was forgotten with this girl.

As they're walking down the street, the street light flickering the speckles of black in her eyes show well in the flickering light.
They arrive at the park, benches, closed shops, jungle jyms, all sorts of things that belong in a park.
"Here we are! Although i was hoping that the shops were open….but it is eight."
She sighs and looks at the swings, she runs to them, her heels sinking into the sand with everystep.
She twirls around and happily sits in the swing giggling a bit, she gestures to the swing beside her for him to sit.
"you comin?"
She says to him pushing herself off of the ground with her foot.
"I haven't been on a swing in years," he breaths, "I don't know if I even can swing anymore…" Nevertheless, Maverick trots to the swing beside her's and gingerly sets himself down on the equipment. Shaking his head, he smiles at CC, "I don't trust this swing."
She laughs a little then pushes herself high off of the ground.
"well you should, its fun! Come on Mave"
She smiles sweetly at him, while she swings back and forth.
Her hair flowing along with the cold wind, as if its dancing under the stars.
"honestly its rather beautiful…… the stars, the nighttime, the hues of purples and blues….. i never really took the time to appreciate it."
She stops swing and looks at his eyes
What do i do with him
She smiles at him after looking at him, then suddenly starts swinging again without a word.
In an awkward collision of limbs and shrieks, Maverick eventually propels himself off the ground. "I do not trust this flimsy piece of plastic and these chains…" he ground out through clenched teeth. Contradicting how a swing should function - tipping back and forth like a pendulum - Maverick's contorting form wrangled the swing to approach a figure-eight shape.
She stops once again laughing, yet very confused.
"do you hate swings….. look get off of the swing, ill show you how its done."
She stands up getting off of the swing.
Huffing, Maverick pouts, "I am not scared of swings." He tries to cross his arms in retaliation, but quickly discovers that removing your hands from the swing is not a good idea. A high-pitched wail explodes from his mouth as his jumbled body tries and fails to remain on the swing.
Draven snorts. "It's not- you know what? Never mind." He walks away, massaging his temples and clenching his jaw.
"O… kay?" Beatriz says, shrugging. She turns to Lure, "you won't leave me, right? I might have to actually leave the room and talk to real people if people keep leaving."
Laughing CC looks at Maverick.
"okay so get off of the swing… then gently just sit on it, holding the chiains on both sides of you."
She gently sits down on the swing, her fingers wrapping around the cold chain.
"then you push youself off of the ground like so…"
She then pushes herself off of the ground like she said.
Leaning back and forth in the swing making her go back and forth along with her body.
"then lean back, to….go back and then lean forward to go forward. Along with swinging your legs."
She does like so, then stops to look at him.
"you try!"
(I have to go, I don’t know when I’ll be back)
(Aww! We'll miss you!)
(aw okay)
The boy's eyes widen to saucers. Hesitantly, he picks himself up from the ground, brushing dirt off of his knees. "O-kay." Gulping, Maverick follows her instructions, albeit clumsily. His hands are white as they strangle the chains, quite literally holding on for dear life. Muscles jerk into place as Maverick forces his body to imitate the girl's graceful one. Yet… he is swinging.
"O… kay?" Beatriz says, shrugging. She turns to Lure, "you won't leave me, right? I might have to actually leave the room and talk to real people if people keep leaving."
"Boys are so dramatic," she complains, saucily adding an eye roll. "But, Draven agreed with me on one thing: You. And. Ryuu. Flirt. Like. There's. No. Tomorrow." Lure emphasizes. "Go after him! Worry like a mother hen as to why he was so out of it, today." A playful - still forceful - shove and kick had Beatriz on her feet.
CC sat on the swing watching him do what he probably thinks is swinging. She giggles ever so adorably, She starts swinging, leaning back as far as she could, closing her eyes, her hair dancing, the wind its partner.
"I missed this….. this stress free time, I feel like im flying. I wish I could."
She stops and looks at him and smiles, leaning forward, looking him in the eyes, his hair, his hands, gripping the chain.
"wouldn't it be so cool to fly…."
Her alabaster eyes gleaming, staring into his viridescent eyes . She was the girl whose eyes are like mirrors to her soul and she did all she wanted all day, yet this was definitely her favorite part…. doing whatever she wanted…. with him.
The sun had completed its tour for the day, and had now been replaced by myriad stars, which dotted the inky canopy. A low, waning gibbous moon hovered tenuously in the twilight firmament, bestowing a very dim light upon the land. It was a cool, windy night; the swaying of trees and rustling of leaves could be heard but not seen, as the encompassing darkness had blotted out all but the faintest light. Briefly, a dark, wispy cloud eclipsed the crescent moon. For a few shadowy moments, it looked like there was a halo around the cloud, a dull aura of lunar luminescence.
Orion's Belt could be seen to the north. It had taken its place for the night amongst a thousand other celestial constellations known and unknown, real and imagined. It, too, succumbed to the veil of cloud cover. Patiently, it waited for the nebulous cirrus clouds to pass, waited for the moment it would shine bright once more.
Ryuu sat silently in the lobby, sitting in one of the sofas, the people who are going to the summer trip had their suitcases along the wall. Ryuu was waiting to take his suitcase down when they were leaving, he had already finished packing, yet he didn't trust anyone.
He had no idea what he would do on the trip, or what it would be like. He's never been to a trip like that, he was indeed nervous.
Everyone else was either in their dorms, out in the city, or eating dinner in the cafeteria, he wanted to get away from everyone though. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and started scrolling through Instagram pointlessly
(Dannnng girl that description)
He glances with envy at CC's graceful swinging, she truly is at home outside. Chuckling, Maverick breathes, "Yeah." I would give her wings if I could. The thought distracts him, pulling on every heart string. I want her to be mine. I want to take her to dinner. Go to parks. Swing together. With his mind no longer focused on thinking about the swing, Maverick's form moves naturally to the rhythm. Accompanying the rising and falling of the set, his body counters forces and follows his lead, CC.
CC holds out her hand to the moonshine, a flower materializes in her palm. Luminesant in the darkness, it gleamed, shining on her eyes, making them look almost silver. And within five seconds, the flower vanished, glitter like particals flowing up in the air, then dissipating in the cold air.
"lets do something!"
She stood up off of the swing, her hair bouncing around as she moves. Her skirt blowing in the wind, acting like she didn't just make something appear out of thin air (its the norm for her)
"Boys are so dramatic," she complains, saucily adding an eye roll. "But, Draven agreed with me on one thing: You. And. Ryuu. Flirt. Like. There's. No. Tomorrow." Lure emphasizes. "Go after him! Worry like a mother hen as to why he was so out of it, today." A playful - still forceful - shove and kick had Beatriz on her feet.
"Lure - what the hell?" Beatriz protests, fending off Lure with a small laugh. "Shut up, I can walk on my own," she mutters, crossing her arms as she leaves the room. Walking over to the lobby, she saw Ryuu on the sofa and plopped down next to him. "Hey. What's up?"
Ryuu looks at the girl calmly, his aqua eyes looking a little dim.
"oh hey! Um whatchya doing?"
He smiles at her, his eyes brighter now, his teeth showing through his sweet smile. He looked exhausted yet he was trying to be happy. He scooted away from her a tiny bit.
"sorry I don't you to be squished!"
He chuckles a tiny bit.
"Pfft, it's fine," Beatriz assures him with a grin. Then her smile fades. "But seriously, what's going on? Are you ok?" She asks with concern in her eyes.
Ryuu looks at the girl and smiles convincingly.
"oh I'm fine! I'm just a little exhausted ya know? With the whole summer trip thing. Packing sucks."
He leans forward in the sofa and smiles at her.
"are you going to the trip?"
He asks her adjusting himself in the seat.
Beatriz smiles brightly. "Yeah, my choir teacher - er, Ms. Lamonte, she's the one who let me in. I literally almost fell out of my seat," she says, laughing at herself. "I have no clue why she picked me, but at least, like, all of my friends are going, so that's fun."
He ruffles his hair, almost looking like a prince, he straightens his back, to sit up straight.
"so who all do you know that's going?"
He turns his head to look at the pretty girl. He barely even knew her.
what am I doing asking her these questions… In an idiot
He thinks as he cringes at himself.
