@gracehustle

Fiona smiled again at him and rubbed her arm absentmindedly "Do you mind?" she gestured to the chair next to his and looked over at him.

Lee shook his head but didn’t say anything. Like I said… I suppose it’s hard to stay away from interaction in a place like this… He rested his elbows on the counter and let his hands hold his head stressfully. Yet again, I can’t stay here forever…

@gracehustle

"Thanks," Fiona sat down next to the guy and looked around the club, not knowing how to start a conversation without sounding really stupid.

Lee stayed silent in hopes that the girl was going to say something. The last thing I need is to be found out…. He shifted around in his seat, trying to get a bit comfortable. I have a feeling I’ll be here in a while.

@gracehustle

Fiona looked at the guy and decided that starting a conversation stupidly would be better than sitting in silence, "So, what brings you here?" she started fiddling with the edge of her shirt and waited for his answer.

Lee gave her a mere glimpse. “Well….. here….. I guess it’s better than being out there.” What am I saying….? At least I didn’t give it away, but did I?
His head swam like crazy, an eddy of confusing thoughts clogging his mind. Don’t tell me she’ll kick me out…

Her words echoed in her mind— I’ll buy…. “Sure… I guess I’ll have whiskey on the rocks….” Ugh… I need to get some sleep somewhere….. staying up all night and drinking isn’t ideal for anyone, let alone a person like myself…

@gracehustle

Fiona nodded and yelled to the bartender "Two whiskey on the rocks please," She turned back to the guy and smiled "This is actually my third drink tonight, so sorry if I get a little tipsy."

Once Ace had walked onto the stage they started to sing, their enchanting voice falling over the crowd. "Do I look lonely? I see the shadows on my face, people have told me. I don't look the same. Maybe I've lost weight, I'm playing hooky. With the best of best, put my heart chest so that you can see it too."

He flashed an awkward grin. “That’s fine— I’d expect nothing less in a place like this.” Tipsy…. Is she drunk already? She seeemed perfectly fine from what he could see. Oh well… it’s a nightclub. What else is there to expect?

"I'm walking the long road, watching the sky fall. The lace in your dress tingles my neck, how do I live?" Ace took a deep breath before belting out the next words. "The death of a bachelor oh Letting the waterfall The death of a bachelor Oh oh Seems so fitting for Happily ever after (woo) How could I ask for more? A lifetime of laughter At the expense of the death of a bachelor."

@gracehustle

Fiona grinned as the bartender brought their drinks over, she immediately grabbed hers and took a drink, waiting for the alcohol to take effect as she listened to the singers familiar words.

Lee carefully took his own drink and glared at her. She wants to escape this world as much as I do… He listened to the singer as intently as she did, and he began to bob along to them. Just relax… this isn’t a place to be uptight about anything.

@gracehustle

Fiona sighed as her mind went numb, it was a nice feeling and helped her listen to the words of the song. she knew the words of the song well and she started to sing the next words in her head I'm cutting my mind off
Feels like my heart is going to burst. Alone at a table for two and I just wanna be served, And when you think of me am I the best you've ever had?

Lee finished off his drink relatively quick, and he wiped his chin with his wrist. It’s been too long since I’ve had any kind of whiskey…. Dad always used to drink it…. twice ever week…. An uncontrolled tear ran down his face. That dumbass drought didn’t have to wipe us out…. It was no use ranting about it— there was nothing he could do to go back.

@gracehustle

Fiona glanced over at the guy and was surprised to find a tear on his face "Hey, what's wrong…Uh, whatever your name is.." she finished off her drink in two gulps and waits for his answer.

Lee found his eyes stinging as he blinked. “It’s nothing you would ever understand.” I bet everyone in this place works somewhere in this darn city… He wiped his tear away and tried to recover the best he could. “I mean— It’s personal.”

@gracehustle

"oh, ok well if you ever need to rant or tell anybody anything i'm here." Fiona looked at the guy and gave him a tight smile "Also, my name is Fiona."

“Nice to meet you…. er… Fiona.” He grinned too, but it didn’t last long. “I’m Lee…” A random flashback came striking his mind like brick to glass, and a small memory replayed in his head— it was when he first moved into a house across the road from thier only neighbors from miles around. He walked up to a young, dusty, blond-haired kid. Hi… I’m Kamon… and you must be our new neighbor! He himself responded happily. I’m Lee. It’s nice to meet you!…….
He shook his head. It was way too long since he introduced himself to anyone.

@gracehustle

Fiona smiled, "Nice to meet you Lee," she turned on her seat to face him and pushed her empty glass back and forth between her hands.

Unsure what else to say, he stayed more on the quiet side for a bit before finally saying, “….Thanks for paying for the drink. I really appreciate it—“ When people pay out of their own courtesy rather than me asking— “…a lot.”

“Every one could use a drink,” He uttered, shuffling around with his money in his pocket. “I would get another…. but… It’s not worth it.” I don’t want her to know. I don’t want anyone to know.
