Jil's smile widened. "That'd be wonderful!" she said. She sat down in her seat. "Let's talk after class."
Jil's smile widened. "That'd be wonderful!" she said. She sat down in her seat. "Let's talk after class."
Toby nodded and sat down next to his seat, which was ironically next to Elijah.
"Why are you to talking to her?" He asked with a disgusted look, as if Jil wasn't even a person.
"She's nice. Maybe you should try and be more like her." Toby shot back, looking ahead towards their teacher. He hated how his friends thought of people who were shy and quiet as lower than them. Jil was amazing, and a better friend than any other boy at his table.
( Should I write the teacher? )
(Sure )
After a few minutes, the teacher had managed to quiet the class down. "This week, we will be starting science fair projects on whichever subject you would like." She began to explain, fixing the glasses on the bridge of her nose. "I'm going to choose partners this time because it seems that this class is incapable of working with their friends and getting things done." She unfurled a piece of paper and began to read the names off.
"Elijah and James.
Abby and Leah.
Cameron and Alyssa.
Jordan and Noa. . ." She continued to read the names off as Toby zoned out, only listening when he finally heard his name being called.
"Toby and Jil." Elijah snickered next to him and whispered to his partner, James.
Jil looked across the room at Toby, and smiled.
Toby looked over at her and smiled back, feeling a deep blush spread across his cheeks. The teacher looked over at him, noticing how flustered he was getting.
Jil noticed Toby blushing, which made her blush. Goshdangit! she thought. Get it together, woman!
"Now, you may all get up and go sit with your partners to discuss your projects." The teacher finished, sitting back down at her desk and began to grade their tests from last Friday. Toby got up and moved towards Jil, sitting down next to her and running a hand through his hair nervously. God, she makes me so nervous. . .
"So, what do you want to do our project on?" Jil asked.
"I'm fine with anything. But, let's doing something that no one has ever done. . ." Toby replied, a mischievous glint in his faded green eyes. "Any ideas?"
Jil saw a mischievous look in Toby's eyes, and sighed. "What do you have in mind?" she said, hoping she wouldn't regret asking.
"Lets make something explode." Toby exclaimed, a childish laugh escaping his lips. "Volcanoes are overdone, but we could explain how rockets or something work. . ." He continued, furrowing his brow slightly in thought.
"We could do elephant toothpaste." Jil suggested.
"What's elephant toothpaste?" Toby asked, resting his chin on the palm of his hand as he continued to face Jil. She was so beautiful. Toby, stop. She probably doesn't like you.
Jil thought for a moment. "Well, it's a the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide using potassium iodide as a catalyst. The reaction is a bunch of foam that shoots straight out of the tube." She looked at him, and blushed. he was really cute, but there was no way he would like her.

"I love it when you talk science to me." Toby replied, flashing a crooked grin that caused most teacher's to label him as a 'troublemaker.' Only now did it dawn on him that he was finally talking to Jil. After all those months of seeing her in the library and watching the cute faces she would make when she got to an exciting part in a novel. . . he was finally talking to her. Maybe a part of him had a crush on her all that time.

( K, see ya soon )
Beatrix walked into the room and she sat in the back corner by herself. She assume no one wanted to talk to her. She looked around the room. She loved music. She loved to sing and rap. She played the piano, guiter, and flute. It made her feel not alone.
Raven saw Beatrix by herself, and walked over to her to sit at a desk next to her," Hello," She said while smiling.
"Oh hey!" She replied back startled. She didn't expect anyone to talk to her at all.
"Beatrix, right?" She asked, unsure if that was her name or not.
"Yeah!" She responded back, still shocked. SHE KNEW MY NAME?!?!?!?
Jil smiled, trying to hide how nervous she was. "There's more where that came from," she said.
