He nodded slowly. ”Of course, you… You're right.” he sighed softly. ”I’m so sorry I never thought of it that way. Would it help at all if I swore to you that I feel nothing romantic for my past flames any more and that I love only you?” he asked.
She shook her head " no it wouldn't"
”Alright. I deserve that.” he sighed, wincing at the spectacular bruising on his chest. ”What would help? I mean, I don't expect you to never be jealous again. I just want to make up for being so stupidly ignorant before. Is there anything I can do for you?”
" You can get better for the sake of everybody else but for me no there's nothing you can ever do" she said
”I’m sorry you feel that way.” Lysander said honestly, trying to keep the hurt out of his voice. ”I will work on trying to be better though.” he promised.
Evan approached the bedroom door and knocked softly.
"come in" she said from her spot on the floor
Evan smiled a little as he walked in. ”Sorry it took me so long. I had a little trouble finding the right tea…” he explained, though he trailed off when he saw Betty on the floor. ”What happened? Are you ok?” he asked as he knelt beside her, setting the drink on the nightstand.
" I hurt my knee" she said
Evan nodded a little, smelling the blood, and gently picked her up. ”Did you try to get out of bed on your own?” he asked with an arched brow and a lightly teasing smirk as he set her back onto the bed.
She looked at him '' maybe'' she said with a small smile
Evan chuckled softly and shook his head. ”Betty, you still need to recover a bit more before you can stand on your own. Much less walk around.” he reminded her gently. ”If you need anything, just call me or Henry and we'll help you out.”
She nodded wrapping her arms around him
Evan smiled and gently returned the hug.
" I'm scared " she whispered
”Of what?” Evan asked softly.
Betty put a hand on her cheek showing an ambulance then a field lighting up with fire and werewolves
Evan’s eyes widened at the vision. ”Do you know where or when that's supposed to happen?” he said, wanting to help somehow.
“Ok.” Evan nodded. ”It’s alright. We’ll figure it out.”
She started breathing heavily her heart beating out of Control
Evan held her close and started rubbing her back in soothing circles. ”Hey, hey… It's ok. You're safe. Just calm down and breathe.” he said gently. ”Slowly. Deep breaths. Nice and easy.”
Lysander shot up and reached for Betty. ”What’s wrong?” he asked, worried.
It didn't take but a few seconds for Betty to fall limp against Evans shoulder completely passed out
Evan sighed a little and gently laid her down. ”I think it might have been a panic attack… not sure though.” he admitted softly before telling Lysander about the vision.
Betty's heart was still pounding out of her chest
Evan gently took her hand and rubbed his thumb in little circles.
Lysander sighed and laid back down next to her. ”She has every right to be worried about the other wolves. She's still their Alpha.” he rationalized, though he hadn't forgotten her fear of fire.
