She giggled "Sweetheart?" She asked

”Yes?” both Evan and Lysander replied at the same time.

Betty smiled " Im thirsty, can you get me some juice?" She asked her boyfriend

“Sure thing, sweetie.” Evan smiled, grabbing a glass for her.

Betty blushed and tended back to the carrots

Lysander looked at the two of them in surprise for a moment as Evan poured the juice for his wife.

”Here you go.” Evan said, setting the glass next to her.

" Thank You," she said taking a sip

”You’re welcome.” Evan smiled, wanting to kiss her a little, but held back in front of his brother.

"You want to help?' She asked

”Umm, are you asking me? Because I would be glad to.” Evan said, glancing briefly at Lysander.

"Yes silly" she said

”Ok.” Evan nodded. ”What do you want me to start on, chef?” he teased playfully.

Lysander sighed softly and quietly left the room.

" if you could cut the carrots," she said as the girls left

" what's wrong ly?" Tyler asked

”No problem.” Evan smiled, picking up a knife.

Lysander shook his head. ”Nothing. I just couldn't keep watching Betty flirt with Evan.” he admitted.

"Well what do you expect you let henry's best friend a girl who's crazy about you and a guy that used Betty as a blood bag stay at your house at her mother's house," she said " she feels scared and betrayed and if it was me I wouldn't want to come back she wants to be with Evan right now, more than you because she's scared of vampires but with even she feels safe and protected she feels at home"

”I didn't know about that! I thought it would have been nice to see some actual friends for a change instead of someone we knew who tried to kill us.” Lysander argued, his hurt coming out as anger. ”I know that she’s scared and considering what that damn wolf put her through I don't blame her. I would never put her in harm's way. I would always protect her.” he said in a softer tone.

" she thinks you're unhappy with your marriage she said it's oy a matter of time before he leaves me" she said

”I don't want to leave her. I know it's naive but when we got married, I thought we would be together forever… But now… If anything, it feels like she’s leaving me.” he told Tyler. ”We had one little fight before the party but we made up. It wasn't even really a fight.” he said as the room grew carelessly colder.

" No, you just don't understand how Betty feels," Tyler said

”Then tell me because I don't think she will. Tell me what I’m missing.” he almost begged.

" Betty is a simple girl she's beautiful but doesn't think she is she's smart without realizing it she loves romantic gestures and adventure" Tyler said

Lysander nodded to show he was listening. He already knew most of that but, honestly, he had been falling behind it the romantic gestures somewhat and they hadn't been on a real adventure for a little while.

" look in there she loves you but with Evan she gets romance and as Queen, she'd have an adventure she's not leaving you but she is in love with two people" she said

He sighed and the room warmed back to the normal temperature. ”I hadn't quite thought of it that way.” Lysander admitted. ”I mean I knew how she felt about Evan but… Thank you for explaining, Tyler.” he said gratefully, giving her a small smile.

"No problem Lysander" Tyler said
