She smiled at the kiss closing her eyes

”Betty?” he asked softly.

”If you're going to be my Queen, how would you feel if I asked Lysander to be one of my more trusted advisors on the council?” he said.

”No… He shouldn't get hurt.” Evan shook his head a little. He was fairly confident of that, especially when he factored in that Lysander had two rare and powerful abilities. ”I just thought… As much as I want us to be together, I don't want to take you away from him.”

“That’s good to hear.” he smiled a little. “But if I’m being honest, I also want him to be kind of an official bodyguard… I know that you are more than capable of defending yourself but I want you to be safe and stay safe.” he admitted, blushing faintly.

Evan didn't really need much sleep but he enjoyed just peacefully relaxing, especially with Betty in his arms.

He hummed softly in agreement and shifted slightly so that the light wasn't in her face.

"Mhh" she shivered snuggling closer

”Cold?” he asked, almost whispering. Because of her giving him half of her heart, his body was a little warmer than that of an average vampire but still not quite as warm as Lysander.
