”I want to be with you, I know that much.” he told her before she left. ”But… I can't just…” Evan groaned at himself as he thought of the hundreds of, not quite excuses but reasons why they weren't together. The biggest one was that she was his younger brother’s Eternal.
"Look Evan I want to be with you oracle's can have two eternals yes I looked into it but I'd you put me in danger"
Evan looked up at her in surprise, his heart leaping at the news. ”And you don't mind that he’s my biological brother? That doesn't bother you?” he asked. He knew some people would have a serious issue with that.
"Evan I love you but I love your brother too and I know he's jealous of you" she said
”I don't know why he would be jealous of me.” he sighed a little. ”But I don't want to put you in danger.”
"You won't not by that but like you said you need to sort out your priorities"
”I know I do.” He nodded again as an idea came to him.

Evan smiled softly at her as he decided to ask later.
"What is it" she said
”What’s what?” he asked innocently.
"I know you're thinking something?" She said
Evan blushed a little, surprised that she could read him so easily. ”I am but it can wait. I need to check over a few things before I do anything about it anyway.” he shrugged.

Evan smiled reassuringly as Lysander walked into the room. ”Am I interrupting something?” he asked calmly.
She turned around smiling at her husband
”No, we were just talking.” Evan smiled at him.
Lysander nodded a little and smiled back at his wife. ”Ok. I just wanted to let you know that we finished getting the kids ready to go with… I guess I should start calling him their grandpa.” he ended with a chuckle.
" I mean he is my dad" she said
”I know.” Lysander smiled, laughing lightly. ”And I've known him for centuries… It just seems a little strange all of a sudden.” he shrugged. ”I’m probably just being silly.”
She patted his shoulder walking by past him
He smiled at the touch and followed after her.
She giggled going to her kids
Laura-Beth smiled and ran towards her mama, wrapping her arms around her legs.
She petted her hair "Hi sweetie" she said
Laura-Beth giggled and held on tighter. ”Gonna miss you.” she murmured.
