”What?!?” he asked in surprise, gently rocking Laura-Beth to keep her calm. ”Why would she do that? I thought you were friends now after you helped her.”
”What?!?” he asked in surprise, gently rocking Laura-Beth to keep her calm. ”Why would she do that? I thought you were friends now after you helped her.”
She shook her head
Lysander sighed and pulled her close to his side. ”I’m so sorry.” he whispered to her.
She barried her head in his chest
Albane lightly brushed her hand over Betty's hair, in a comforting gesture before walking over to her son and silently offered to hold Laura-Beth so he could hold his wife.
Lysander nodded softly and let his mother take Laura-Beth, wrapping both arms around Betty.
Betty sniffled hiding her face
“I’m so sorry, love.” he told her soothingly but sympathetic.
she started to cry
He gently rubbed her back comfortingly. He hated seeing her cry but he wouldn't stop her. She needed to let these emotions out.
she sobbed into his chest
He sighed softly and kissed the top of her head.
she sniffled " I should be with him" she cried
He stiffened a little, not liking the potential implications of her statement. ”We could go see your family together.” he suggested.
she shook her head
“Alright.” he nodded a little. ”What do you want then?” he asked gently.
" It should've been me" she said
"Don't say that." he said, shaking his head. "You were already dead for a whole month and just got back. I don't know what happened but I don't think there was anything you could do."
Betty got up and went to her room a month passed and Betty didn't say a word she only took care of her daugher and now she stood her brothers funeral had just ended
Lysander shook his head as she left. He tried to reach out to her during the month but didn't seem to have much luck. During that month he helped out with Laura-Beth but he also bought a small house for his parents. He now stood by his wife's side at Zach's funeral along with Henry who had come to offer moral support for Betty.
Betty looked straight ahead no emotion no sadness happiness . . . no love
Lysander was hurt by how empty Betty seemed. Normally, she was so strong but she didn't hide how she felt. He cautiously reached his hand to hold hers.
She pulled her hand away before it even brushed against hers
He sighed softly and let his hand drop to his side.
Betty started to walk out since everyone was gone
Lysander followed after her shortly followed by Henry.
