Tara laughed. "Thank you."

"Not a problem," He smiled, "Mind if I go take a shower?"

Tara shook her head. "Go head Darren. I'll stay right here." She answered.

Darren kissed her cheek before running off to the bathroom leaving her in the kitchen.

Tara smiled as she looked down at her plate. Slowly but surely, she ate the entire HotPocket.

Darren came out of the bathroom with gym shorts on and his shirt in his hand. His dark curly hair was soaking wet as he walked into the kitchen. He struggled to put his shirt on.

Tara slid off the counter, avoiding looking at Darren as she quickly washed her dishes in the sink.

Darren smiled and leaned over the counter, "How long do you have until you have to go home?"

"Uh….I'm not sure, what time is it?" She asked, keeping her back to him as she finished washing the dishes.

"Late 6 early 7?" he guessed without turning around to look at a clock.

"I should be back by eight, nine thirty at the latest." Tara answered, finally turning around. "Unless Abby or Sara calls me home early for some reason."

“Hmm so that makes my plans out of the question.” He leaned on the counter and stared at his shirt being fisted by his hand with deep thought.

Tara raised her eyebrow. "Plans?"

“It was nothing,” he insisted as he slid his shirt on over his head.

"Are you sure?"

Tara raised her eyebrow. "Okay then." She answered.

Darren’s phone was buzzing on the table in the living room, he as doing his best to ignore it but his brother was persistent as always.
