Evelyn looked down and began to leave the classroom, why couldn’t the teachers listen to what she had to say about her reading disability, if you could call it that.

Mason jogged over to her and put his hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's ok. None of us did well at all"

Iris groaned out loud this time, doing as the teacher said. "I'm totally going to fail, I knew it," she whispered to her friends. She did get a D in her science class last year in regular school.

"Lunch next! You should sit with us, Iris!" Mason grinned. He liked lunch, not because of food, but because of friends

"Okay!" she replied, happy to have found a good friend. "That sounds good!"

Mason grabbed Iris's hand and pulled her towards a table near the back of the cafeteria

"Wha- oh okay," she started to protest but realized what he was doing and quickly kept up with his pace. "So, who's sitting with us?"

"Whoever turns up!"

"Great!" Iris sat down and pulled out a lunchbox from her bag.

Mason peered at the school menu and grimaced. "Nothing edible" he joked grabbing a plastic box of what appeared to be pasta from his bag

Sucorra sat down next to Evelyn, setting her lunch on the table. "Mind if I join you guys?" she asked.

Rouge walked over with her lunch box "Hey can I join" she was looking down at her feet shuffling them

Evelyn looked down at her plate as she mourned her grades.

Rouge perked at seeing Evelyn "Hey do you need help in any classes?" she asked as she slid into the seat next to her

Mason peered at the school menu and grimaced. "Nothing edible" he joked grabbing a plastic box of what appeared to be pasta from his bag

"Nice aha," she replied, playing along as she pulled out a plastic baggy with a slice of pizza in it.

Rouge pulled out a bentu box that held traditional Japanese foods such as rice, sushi, and actual ramen in a tuppaware container "Thank you Loki" she smiled thinking of her sister

"What do you guys think's up with Camillus? He was acting super weird today" Mason asked

"I don't know, he definitely seemed nervous," Iris replied, recalling the short conversation she and Mason had before heading to chemistry.

"And awake. He usually sleeps through lessons" Mason sat still for a few moments, poking his pasta. He made a frustrated face and stabbed the fork into the table.

"That's a thing?" Iris made a face. "I mean, he is a cat after all…" she pulled the slice out of the bag and began eating it.

“Definitely a thing.” Evelyn twirled her hair and took a bite of her salad.

"Huh, how is he still teaching here? Do the school officials just don't mind him sleeping or anything?" she asked.

“We don’t mind- we just fight and usually the rest of us just play with our powers in the background or something.”

"Or it's a free for all fight. Sometimes he stays awake long enough to put us in teams then falls asleep. He figures if the fighting is loud enough to wake him up, it's out of hand and he should stop it."
