(Finally done my template!)
Name: Victoire Benoit
Age: 23
Gender: female
Sexuality: extremely conflicted. She had feelings for this one woman that just threw her completely off-balance and confused her, she ended up writing it off as a test from God and assuming she was straight.
Role: Leader of the Scarlet Order
Appearance: Long, dark brown hair spilling over her shoulders, cut neatly a few inches above her waist. Completely straight, in a middle part, often kept in a vey simple half-up style, though small strands fall in front of her face from time to time. Almond-shaped eyes that flash with mischief, a deep brown, the kind that reflect all the light that hits them, lined by long eyelashes. Smooth, tan skin, thin but well-shaped lips with a prominent philtrum, a slim nose, a more oval-shaped face with a defined jawline. 5’7”, slim, a bit curvy, much stronger than she looks.
General Attire: Simple dresses in faded, unsaturated colours, particularly grey-greens and greyish lavenders. Necklines less revealing of the shoulders that occasionally dip down on her chest, long, tight-fitted sleeves, avoids crinolines as much as possible, but when out in public wears them with as little layering around her behind as she can while keeping her outfit socially acceptable. Dislikes corsets but wears them anyways, though looser than most women due to the fact that her waist is slim already, always wears a simple, tarnished silver ring on her right ring finger.
Personality: A strong sense of self-confidence, can definitely hold her own, bold, firm, a flawless liar and actress, will do whatever is necessary to carry out a mission. Holds her head up high, will not let herself be stepped on, a very strong sense of loyalty, almost motherly at times, fiercely protective. Not the prim and proper type, knows when to have a laugh, can be teasing at times, efficient and self-sufficient, hardworking, fantastic leadership skills. Knows when to get involved and when to stay in the background, is logical but also listens to her heart and gut instinct, slow to trust, difficult to fool.
Flaws: Can sometimes be too proud and stubborn as a result of it, can wait too long to reveal her cards and be overly-cautious, which has lead to some missed opportunities, will never leave anyone behind or in danger (which can be a huge advantage, but often leads to her putting herself in a lot of danger for someone she barely knows).
Backstory: Victoire’s father was killed on accident in one of the protests against the monarchy of France when she was nine, and as her family was already poor, her mother had difficulty caring for all six of her children. Victoire was the second eldest, her older brother Louis being older than her, and had four younger siblings (in order from eldest to youngest): Jeanne and Adrienne, the twins, Pierre, and Bernard. Marie, the mother, soon fell into a deep depression, hardly able to perform the tasks necessary of her, and the family found themselves on the street by the time Victoire was twelve. Her mother, desperate and not fully sane, became one of the many prostitutes in the darkest, dirtiest parts of Paris, and Victoire began to beg and steal to keep her siblings afloat. But when Victoire was fifteen, she was almost caught several times, barely escaping imprisonment, and deemed it too risky to be out too much during the day, so her (now practically insane) mother urged her to follow her in her nightly job. Victoire joined Marie in an attempt to make more money, but when Louis was shot, Bernard died of starvation, and her mother jumped off a bridge in despair, she and her remaining siblings left Paris in search of a new life. The three sisters were separated from Pierre on the way, and Jeanne was run over by a wagon hours after they arrived in London. Adrienne, unable to handle the grief, disappeared one night, and though Victoire searches everywhere, she never saw her sister again.
Close to killing herself by now, she turned to the only profession she knew and became a woman of the night once more. By now, she was twenty, and after a few months of working after sunset, she met (one of your characters, who wants to be this woman?), and they soon became close friends. After becoming acquainted with the postman (Emi’s character) they eventually formed the Crimson Flower, and the whole business began.
Other: Has a French accent, keeps a torn picture of her family by her bedside.
