Axel watched the girl getting carried out on the stretcher, his memory triggered by the ambulances. His parents, even his little brother, needed to call 911 a few times. When he had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, plenty of things went wrong at home. His feeding tube wouldn't work, his medicine made him sick, etc. He shook his head and looked away, glancing around the library to make sure everything was alright.
Hazel watched as the girl was taken away. She felt kind of bad for her… Walking up to Axel, she asked if he was alright.
Axel nodded, running a hand through his hair. "I hope she's alright. Bookshelves don't usually fall on people. . ."
Hazel nodded. "I was just curious because of your limp…" she added. She really hoped he was alright.
"Oh, I've had this for a while now," Axel explained, kneeling down and lifting up the hem of his pant's leg to reveal a prosthetic. "I had osteosarcoma cancer. That's why Augustus is one of my favorite characters." He finished, standing back and rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
Hazel frowned. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't…" she trailed off, feeling stupid for asking. She felt bad for bringing up something that probably was a hard time in his life.
"Oh. . . no, it's fine. You can ask about it, it's okay." Axel assured her, feeling guilty for making her feel like she had asked a bad question. Talking about his cancer didn't bother him as much as it did in the past.
Timothy was taken to the hospital, where she immediately woke up, attached to painkillers and feeling so numb that she couldn't talk. Her boss looked worried.
"Tim. Can I ask you something?"
Timothy opened her eyes, squinting and glaring, as if to say, don't call me Tim.
"Please don't go outside alone."
She immediately began to protest, heart monitor beeping wildly and legs making a slight motion, as if she was trying to kick them.
Her boss sighed, honey-blonde hair falling over her shoulder. "Please. I don't want you to get hurt."
Timothy was silent, staring at the ceiling above.
"You are to go with an escort, anywhere. Understand?"
No, I don't understand. I don't understand why you hate me. Her mind was filled with angry immature teenage things to say and she gave a small snort of disbelief.
Hazel would feel worse if she asked about it, so she simply shook her head. She began to fiddle with the hem of her shirt, unsure of what to say.
"So, uh, I'm terrible at conversations," Axel said, letting out a light laugh as he thought of something to say. "Do you want to look through some new books with me? I need to sort them anyways."
Hazel nodded quickly, both agreeing with his statement and accepting his offer. She began to walk beside him back towards the corner where he had introduced himself.
( I gtg, but I'll be on tomorrow )
(Same. Night!)
She was released later on, put into a wheelchair.
"You probably want to get rid of me. I am of no use. I have a disease, I can't fight." Timothy's braid had been unleashed, brown hair falling over her shoulder.
Her boss shook her head. "No, Tim-"
Timothy shot her a glare. "Don't call me Tim."
"Fine. No, Timothy, you are valuable to us. Important. Whether or not you have a disease, you can fight."
She pulled at her gloves, making them tighter. "I don't want to hear your excuses right now."
(G'night!)

She is approved!
//Yes! but I'll introduce my character tommorrow considering that almost no one is on
(I have a sort of plot for this. Maybe they live in a crime-ridden city and the bookstore is a hidden front for some kind of organization that helps take down crime. Except there's something bigger going on, a darkness that wants to take over the city, led by someone and they're trying to bring that person down?)
(thoughts?)
(I agree!!! It sounds awesome!)
