Timothy browsed the bookshelves, the smell of warm coffee filling her nose as she looked for any book that might interest her. Her gloves fit like, well, they fit like a glove. Perfectly adhering to her hand, after all, she'd been wearing them for years. She leaned onto her cane, the ache in her bones not as bad as they had been before her medicine, but still bad nonetheless.

Axel walked throughout the bookstore, limping slightly on his prosthetic as he sorted new novels. He walked around with a stack, blowing strands of ash blond hair out of his face. He loved this place. It gave him somewhere else to go, other than the hospital and his home.

Adelaide pushes some books aside. "Hi!" She says cheerily to Timothy. "What can I help you with?"

Hazel sat in her usual corner, flipping through one of her old favorites. It felt like she had probably read most of the whole library at this point. Story after story, each one a new world to explore. The smell of books and the quiet was a nice bonus too. Most people didn't bother talking to her. She was that one quiet girl who hardly ever talked anyways.

Adelaide feels slightly defeated after Timothy brushes her aside, but that fades off quickly as she starts to look around for other people to help.

Axel continued to sort through the books, noticing a quieter girl in the same corner he sits in when he reads. He chuckled lightly and glanced down before she could notice him staring, looking back down at the novels instead.

Timothy almost fell, but she caught herself and clenched her jaw, trying to walk as best as she could. Defeated, she slumped over to a small reading nook and sat down, breathing hard and hating herself for being so weak.

Kathy sat down in the library, she pulled out her laptop and began brainstorming. Her latest book had just been published and she needed to start work on it's sequel.

Hazel didn't notice the boy watching her in the slightest. She was too invested in the lives of her characters. She liked to imagine what she herself might do if she were faced with the same reality. Some of her favorites were darker than others but had a positive message in the end. Her mother kept trying to convince her to read happier books, but the ones that start out sad make it all the more exciting when good things happen.

Axel finally mustered the courage to talk to the girl. He approached her hesitantly, rubbing the back of his neck nervously as he brushed strands of his blond hair back. After a few moments, he finally spoke up. "What are you reading. . .?"

@Lenered

She laid down and closed her eyes, angry and ready to snap out or yell. But she took a few deep breaths and mustered a smile. Timothy knew her disease would kill her eventually, it was a hard truth. She'd just have to enjoy her time here as well as she could.

Hazel jumped at the voice. No one really payed her any mind usually, so it was a bit of a shock why anyone would talk to her. Oh, the book. Yes, this is a library, silly. Maybe he saw it and is interested in a copy for himself, she thought.
"Oh, it's uhm called An Ember In The Ashes. It's a really good dystopian novel…" she replied softly.
(I highly recommend it actually!)

"That sounds good. I just finished The Fault In Our Stars actually," Axel answered, a small smile tilting the corners of his lips upwards. He loved Augustus especially since they both had the same cancer and prosthetic leg. "You come here often, right? I've seen you here a couple times. . ."
